Actually, you're supposed to go against traffic when you're walking and with traffic when you're riding a bike. When you're walking, it's easier for drivers to see you if you're walking towards them, and when you're riding a bike, you're supposed to follow all driving laws, including direction.

Yeah; the twat seems to be at fault. I don't know about UK, but in NY, it's illegal to ride a bike on the sidewalk/pavement if you are over the age of 18. I'm guessing this "twat" is, indeed, over 18.

In the UK, vehicle traffic sticks to the left, yet people traffic seems to follow the trend of the rest of Europe and sticks to the right. Coming from Australia, I found it really odd when I was in London.

In South Africa we drive on the left and walk on the right so that if a car happens to the driving out of control or over on the pavement, we'll see it and be able to get out of the way, instead of being run over from behind.

In England they drive on the left so you should walk on the right so you can see the cars as they are about to run you down. There is no law about what side you have to walk on. Just common sense to face traffic. Does anyone here now that term 'common sense'? Bonus thumbs up if you do.

Oh people. He was on the 'pavement', and for the Americans: the sidewalk. The quad biker was clearly in the wrong, and merely compounded it by telling the pedestrian they were walking on the incorrect side of the pavement. Whereas we all know quad bikes aren't allowed on the pavement... I don't know what's worse, the FML or the amount of people who didn't understand the FML.
