Heh, that happened to two of my friends in high school. The parents got married and last I heard the kids got engaged. Its definitely weird and an awkward situation that your friends are sure to make fun of you for (I know we did!) but it could be worse! Just have a sense of humor about it and it honestly wont be a big deal.
It's better that you guys have been going out before they got together.

that happened to one of my friends but the other way around.
her mom and dad got married and their divorced parents met at the wedding and then got married later.
so if you get married to the guy and have a kid, he or she will be his or her own cousin.
no big deal.

Yeah, this actually happened to me in high school. We ended up dating for three and a half years, but broke up before I started college.
It doesn't have to end up awkward even if you do break up. It wasn't easy for the first couple months living together after the break up, but we're best friends now and we act more like siblings than ex's now haha.
He's actually going to be in my wedding. Life is strange. I still hate when people bring it up, because you always get the incest jokes, but it's NOT incest so don't let people bring you down. If you're happy, keep doing what's making you happy.
My best advice is just to keep the fact that he's your step-bro on the down low. If people don't know, don't bring it up. Tell the people who have to know, but otherwise, don't bring it up. It's easier than you think.

Something similar happend to me. I was dating this guy in grade 9 ages ago. His mom and my dad work together. Me and him kept it secret from our parents. My dad kept on seeing his mom, but we were oblivious to the fact that they were dating because his mom was in a 8 year relationship. So it happends his mom was cheating on her boyfriend with my dad. They are now married. And that guy is my step brother. The worst part was when i broke up with the guy he went psycho and tried to kill himself. For three years i never felt safe because he was able to come into my house at any point.
