You should consider learning more about his hobbies. And your friend's. And then you won't be left out. The fact that your friend and your boyfriend have a common interest is not really a cause to be upset or worried about your relationship.

You should read that, it's not a classic for nothing... It is acceptable to have different interests than your boyfriend, but maybe you could try looking into what he likes, some of my ex-boyfriends showed me some great movies, books and music!
