You need to make him choose. A relationship takes two. If he isn't willing to put in time for you then you need to find someone else.

I obviously don't know your whole situation; one one hand you could be the clingy type that thinks their boyfriend should be with them all the time 24/7. On the other hand, if he couldn't even focus on you while you were talking to him then there's definately a problem! My suggestion is to try talking to him again, possibly taking away his phone, and telling him things need to change to keep it working. I think you guys should have a date night, pick one night of the week and make it your date night so that whatever else goes on that week you still have your date night which is a priority for both of you!! And it could be staying home and watching a movie in your pjs, or it could be going out to dinner. My other piece of advice, let him have guy time!!! Men need guy time where they can get away and do stuff with the guys. Whether it's hockey, fishing or just hanging out, he needs that time and you need to support it so he doesn't feel like he's going to be in trouble for going! While he's doing guy time you can go out with your friends or find a hobby. But if you want your relationship to work he needs to have guy time at least once or twice a week!! And this goes for whether you're dating or married! Men need their time and women have to understand that for any relationship to work! you may even find that the time he spends with you is better than it was cause he'll be missing you or thankful you're not super clingy like some of his guys girlfriends! : )
