Man or woman?

Today, my son couldn't find all the parts to his Cub Scout uniform. I had a serious talk with him about being prepared, and how he would need to live with the consequences of not having the right outfit on. When we arrived at the meeting, everyone was in costumes because it's Halloween. I forgot. FML

I agree, your life sucks (2554) - you totally deserved it (20500)

#1 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:33pm by socer_kid

yes #1, he should probably try to 'bemember' stuff more often

#19 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:09pm by Gamertag__

Yes because that was the only word that was missed spelled.
Lemme guess you get off in trying to make people look stupid?
Get a life, and stop stressing other people's spelling errors.

I can understand you losing your keys, or purse, and ending up half an hour late where your kid now sees you in a bad light, but how do you forget something like "It's a Halloween party...wear a f***ing costume"?

#34 - On 10/29/2009 at 7:49pm by Reyo

I am guessing it was their regularly scheduled scout meeting, only with costumes...
Plus, why would a man have a purse? Or is it a "European shoulder bag"?

#37 - On 10/29/2009 at 9:34pm by Intoxicunt

It's easier to believe that a p;o`-+

#54 - On 10/30/2009 at 3:07am by Reyo

(f***ing keyboard)

It's easier to believe that someone would lose a purse over a wallet.

That and I didn't notice the OP was a dude.

#55 - On 10/30/2009 at 3:11am by Reyo

wow you are just a serious bitch that needs to put down the damn blackberry and focus on your child more...
really sad...

FAIL!

#2 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:33pm by liveBabylon

Halloween comes 2 days earlier in Washington?

#3 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:34pm by Monado

in case you didn't know but scouts is usually once a week soo they would dress up early just like at school for my kid don't talk stupid unless you know what your talking about ~_~

#6 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:36pm by socer_kid

I must be stupid. I had to read your comment twice in order to understand it, being it lacks complete punctuation.

#9 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:40pm by Monado

*completely lacks ;)

#15 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:50pm by lifeinhd

i agree with #3

#20 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:11pm by jessxoxo28

It could have been Halloween last year. If you haven't noticed yet, ALL of the FMLs begin with "Today".

#47 - On 10/30/2009 at 12:47am by Witchcraft

Karma.

#4 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:35pm by 100lol

This isn't karama. Study up what karma is before using it so loosely.

#7 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:37pm by Monado

really this is not karma karma is like saying NO you cant have $ to a homeless person then a week or 2 latter you need money and no one will lend it or give it to you

#10 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:40pm by socer_kid

"Karma karma"?

#11 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:41pm by Monado

That person really has no concept of punctuation whatsoever. Is it really that hard to stick a comma or period in so people can understand you?

#13 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:48pm by BeanieBaby

No that is not karma either karma is a belief that your sins and good deeds will balance out to what you are in the next life read a book sometime #10

#32 - On 10/29/2009 at 7:45pm by chrisgllgs

Karma is like such a thing as getting like your bum kicked for being bad like such as almost a punishment like a Karmic whoopin' and like the other stuff and like the thing like such as yeah like some believe Karma will turn you into a cockroach in your next life for being like a shithead in this life so basically like you better be good or you will come back as a bug like such as yeah

#48 - On 10/30/2009 at 12:52am by Witchcraft

It depends, #32.

Hindus believe that Karma is "the total effect of a person's actions and conduct during the successive phases of the person's existence, regarded as determining the person's destiny", and "the principle of retributive justice determining a person's state of life and the state of his reincarnations as the effect of his past deeds". Yes, I looked it up. :]

Some non-Hindus believe that Karma is basically punishment for misdeeds. Say, someone causes an accident and flees the scene, and a week later is involved in a car accident caused by someone who also fled the scene.

I might be wrong though, so I apologise if I am, I don't pretend to be an expert. *shrug*

#49 - On 10/30/2009 at 1:01am by Witchcraft

lol im not an expert either (: im just saying because the original idea and thought of karma was created by the hindus as what you'll be in the afterlife because of your deeds in this life like what you said if your a total dick in this life then you could end up being a cockroach in the next life so basically if it was first it shouldnt have been changed into what todays society calls karma they shoulda called it something else :)

#56 - On 10/30/2009 at 4:32am by chrisgllgs

Very true.
You know how society screws things up! :]

Maybe I'll start putting an "H" in Karma when I'm talking about immediate punishment/retribution, and not reincarnation punishment/retribution.

Kharma? :]

Parent fail... wow I hate it when my parents are hypocrites! And obviously it’s not Halloween but it’s probably the last meeting before Halloween and they were celebrating. (@#3)

#5 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:36pm by Sun_Kissed18

The little bastard forgot, too!

You might be a good family because of the inter-generational sharing of the weed, but you schmucks are as forgetful as hell.

"Dude, where's my ascot?"

"Heh-heh-heh, you said ASScot, heh-heh-heh."

#14 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:49pm by perdix

Way to go. But wouldn't your son have remembered that it was a Halloween meeting? Kids tend to be pretty excited about that stuff, especially about dressing up. Great job making yourself look like a dumbass in front of your son and everyone in his Cub Scouts.

#16 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:50pm by MiddleChild08

"all the parts to his cub scout uniform"

is he in robo-scouts or something?

#17 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:52pm by allmidnighteyes

Just say you're dressed as a hypocrite.

#18 - On 10/29/2009 at 5:53pm by SimplyLaurel

oooh....
ow..,

#21 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:28pm by smith314

How the hell do you forget about halloween?
That all people are talking about.

#22 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:29pm by fatherpunk

Because it's not actually Halloween? I mean, if this had actually happened on the 31st, that would have been different…

#24 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:37pm by Raine_Sage

Hey I voted no one this one :(

LAME.

#23 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:32pm by ScaryyMary

HEY HEY! Was your wife who ended up paying for all the popcorn cause her Cub Scout lost the money? Hahaha!

#25 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:40pm by jane99

What kind of kid forgets a Halloween party, a chance to dress up as a superhero and get free candy?! Most kids I know would be talking about it all week. Either yours is a lot smarter than you think, or has no imagination. I think he saw a primo opportunity for you to get what was coming to you.

#27 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:50pm by TheIrishJaneDoe

it aint halloween foo

#28 - On 10/29/2009 at 6:55pm by iamstupid1243

#33 - On 10/29/2009 at 7:48pm by GJMO

OP, I'm sorry...
But you're pretty much an idiot.

#35 - On 10/29/2009 at 7:54pm by Ohnothingreally

Please tell me he kicked your ass.

#36 - On 10/29/2009 at 8:57pm by FarSide

yeah well maybe you should think before you speak. you don't know it all after all, evidence is there. hope he don't grow up like you

#38 - On 10/29/2009 at 9:46pm by kile88

I think it's funny- not in a "haha" way- that everyone thinks the parent is an asshole. If the kid keeps losing his shit, he needs to STOP LOSING HIS SHIT- PERIOD. OP, don't even stress on it. It's more like a funny story than an "FML" post.

#39 - On 10/29/2009 at 9:52pm by meyanna

You only lose so much shit before you are shitless, and then you are shit out of luck. The boy will figure it out fast enough.

#42 - On 10/29/2009 at 10:54pm by FarSide

i just find it funny you had a serious talk about being prepared. i think cub scouts did that for him; isn't that the motto? and way to overreact to not being able to find a part of a uniform.

#40 - On 10/29/2009 at 10:05pm by danceoo

YDI it for being too harsh on him. The Cub Scout motto is "do your best." Save the "be prepared" motto for when he's a Boy Scout.

#41 - On 10/29/2009 at 10:49pm by MoobyTheCow

Thank you for knowing the difference between cub scouts and boy scouts . You must be a former scout. I have seen the arrow ,have you ?

#44 - On 10/29/2009 at 11:24pm by teebonehead

Ydi for having him in the Homophobic Boy scouts!

#43 - On 10/29/2009 at 11:06pm by Cristaderzi

That's perfect. You can just say that your son's Halloween costume is an unorganized boy scout who couldn't find all the pieces of his uniform.

#46 - On 10/30/2009 at 12:42am by Ninjaface

Pretend to be an average office worker, problem solved.

#50 - On 10/30/2009 at 2:33am by alpha_beta

Too funny!

#51 - On 10/30/2009 at 2:34am by froggygrl78

you could have said you were dressed as a plainclothes police officer.

#52 - On 10/30/2009 at 2:54am by foolishworkerbee

If you feel that your son is old enough to be responsible for his uniform then he should be old enough to remember that he was supposed to wear a costume. In that case it is his own fault.

On the other hand, If you felt that YOU should have been the one to remember the costume, then why on earth would you lecture him about his uniform? If he is old enough to be responsible for one, then why not the other? YDI

#53 - On 10/30/2009 at 3:03am by buddas_angel

actually i think they're going to have halloween on the 31st this year....dumbass

#58 - On 10/30/2009 at 4:03pm by RedisDead88

why the hell is everyone talking about karma. anyway this is america champ. how's he gunna die from not wearing some outfit that is essentially useless and only for show. give him a cell phone. if he's ever lost in the woods he'll call for help.

#59 - On 10/30/2009 at 5:38pm by mon_e_mons

He probably wouldn't get service in the woods anyway, dude.

#60 - On 10/30/2009 at 10:12pm by the_lololagist

First you give him a typical american preach about consequences blabla and then you suck... please don't do that ever again.

#61 - On 10/31/2009 at 4:40am by Morphs

retard, go die. you sicken me disgrace scum of earth and mankind. i think you better tell the world how sincerely sorry you are peasant youth!
