Man or woman?

Today, my mother woke me up by saying "Good morning my sexually aggressive daughter. We're going to have an extremely uncomfortable conversation today." Our awkward talk consisted of her telling me that I'm a tease and am going to get raped. Why? She caught me making out with my boyfriend. FML

Your mum is stupid, is what. (And so are a lot of people posting here). Listen up:

ALL PSYCHOLOGICAL STUDIES DONE ON RAPE SHOW UNEQUIVOCALLY THAT RAPE IS ABOUT POWER, CONTROL, AND ANGER. IT IS NOT ABOUT LUST. YOU ARE NO MORE LIKELY TO GET RAPED IF YOU ARE PRETTY, YOUNG, OLD, UGLY, MODEST, SCANTILY CLAD, ETC.

THE YOUNGEST PERSON TO GET RAPED WAS UNDER A YEAR OLD, THE OLDEST WAS EIGHTY-SOMETHING. MAYBE THE OLD WOMAN WAS WEARING A PROVOCATIVE GRANNY SHAWL, HUH?

DON'T YOU DARE INSULT WOMEN (AND THE MEN WHO GET RAPED TOO) BY SUGGESTING THEY DESERVE OR ASKED TO BE RAPED.

IF RAPE WAS ABOUT BEING "A TEASE" WHY IS IT SO COMMON IN COUNTRIES WHERE WOMEN HAVE TO WEAR A BURQUA?

PS. You could also say that going out and getting drunk leaves you more vulnerable. This is true. But also beside the point really, because almost all sexual abuse is perpetrated by someone the victim knows.

I'm pretty sure that making out does not = slutty.
