Today, I stepped on a piece of glass and sliced my right foot open. Hobbling to get my first aid kit, I tripped and stepped on a pair of heels, and sliced my left foot open. FML

@31, OP couldn't have dropped a glass after she took her heels off? And then in the process of cleaning it up, stumbled and stepped on the glass? And then, she couldn't have turned around, tripped on the heel she just took off and cut her other foot? Have some imagination before you make stupid comments.

Fake. U can't slice u're foot open on a heel. It would hurt but if it was sharp enough to do that kind of damage women couldn't walk in them.
you CAN slice your foot open on a heel, i've done it before.
and not because i'm a slob, because i'm not, but because i had them by the front door waiting to be worn that evening.
heels can have really sharp edges.

same here, especially if you wear them on concrete they get sharp and I have never "sliced" my foot open but I have cut my calf when I was crossing my legs and the heel scraped it.
ive actually cut my foot on a flipflop before...twice. im pretty sure you can cut yourself with a heel.

The only pair of shoes I've kept in the box is my Uggs, because they cost ridiculously much. :l
I did the same thing when I was at summer camp, but with a nail. I definitely learned my lesson from that double whammy.

Ouch. I got some crocs (can't bring myself to wear "flip-flops") by my door for such occasions. Mostly because there is grass out front and my sister has a dog.. erp erp - So mebbe get croc'd? :]

Critical crowd aren't you? Ever considered a perfectly cleanly house where she did something like come in the door, kicked off some heels, went to get water or something before cleaning up, dropped the cup and cut her foot, and then went to bandage the wound before worrying that her house was clean enough to suit all of your personal tastes?Or a person with a messy roommate who owned the heels? I've known people who are freakishly organized do similar things in a house where you could eat off the floors. When your in pain, you generally don't tread lightly and carefully, you run for a band aid or something.
