Today, I was tripped by my cat and proceeded to fall down the stairs, resulting in a broken rib. Apparently the hospital doesn't believe me and now thinks I'm a suicide risk. My cat is a twerp. FML.

What??? People accidentally fall down the stairs and injure themselves all the time. What on earth would cause medical professionals to come to such a random conclusion...

OP probably belongs to a demographic that is considered to be higher risk for suicide- add in injuries that could match a failed suicide attempt, and they may be choosing to be safe instead of sorry. Which still sucks, but at least it means other people who ARE suicide risks are more likely to be noticed.
