Today, I was bitten by a dog. I decided to talk to the owner. A man walked up to the door in his nude and told me to fuck off. he also said I deserved to be bitten. FML

While I'd consider pressing charges, in my state there's a chance that the dog will be euthanized.

I would've tried talking to him later after talking to him the first time. He could've been in a bad mood. If that doesn't work, tell him you're pressing charges. If he keeps refusing to own up and apologize for his dog, then take affirmative action. Some people just have bad days and aren't willing to cooperate, OP. Maybe give him another chance and confront him again. Do it in a civilized manner though.
