Today, I got written up for drinking on the job by a manager who drinks on the job, who was told to write me up by a general manager who drinks on the job, and we are all employed by an owner who drinks on the job. I haven't had a drink in 3 weeks. FML

DJJayLee tells us more.

strip clubs aren't union. we have a total of 14 employees at this club and the GM would rather fire everyone and hire new people than deal with that. I'm 1 of 3 that have worked here longer than a year.

Where on earth do you work, the liquor store?

Really hoping none of your bosses opperate heavey machinery at your place of work.

you just made yourself look really silly, you should read the entire post before commenting about how he should know better

Sounds like you should start drinking on the job if you want to get anywhere in that company

Drinking makes your routines funnier!

that's what you get for drinking alone instead of drinking with you're buddy's ;)

Either u have stupid co-workers or you pissed someone off

Hahah well that sucks. Why do you all drink on the job? Just because your manager does it wouldn't make it ok, even if you did drink on the job.

You've obviously never had experience with a strip club. I am an ex-dancer and it's amazing how many of the girls had to be drunk to even get on stage. The manager drank, the DJ drank, the bartender drank...it was like everyone working there was ashamed and needed to drink or do drugs to handle it. I did neither, since I was there to help pay for college expenses and needed a functioning brain, and I was considered an outcast. Ironically, my time there ended when I fell on stage and partially tore my rotator cuff. Somehow, the fully drunk girls kept their feet and I'm the one who fell. TL;DR - at a strip club, everyone drinks.

I think the problem is, other than the sheer hypocrisy of being written up by people doing the same thing, is that he was probably actually written up for the time he did drink which was more than 3 weeks ago (based on OPs feedback). So while not technically incorrect, it's kind of a dick move by his employer/manager

Tip off the local police after you notice them drinking. They gotta drive home. Unless they always get a cab. In that case, they must get some nice paychecks!

Why would you just assume that they drive home? Maybe they take public transit. Maybe they live within walking distance of their work. We don't know.
