Today, I got in my car. When I sat down, I realized a cat had got in the back seat. The cat startled me so I jumped out and slammed the door. Locking myself out. I watched the cat scratch my seats up for an hour. I'm highly allergic to cats. I can't get in my own car without breaking out in hives. FML

Depending on the car you have, it's very possible for a cat to get into a car. You know how curiosity kills the cat? My mom once drove around town with one of our cats under the hood because it climbed up there and slept. It just stayed there the whole time.

If you're afraid of anything your first instinct is to run out and block it from getting to you. I've done that tons of times with spiders in my car, but then I call someone to take care of it for me. And she said she was standing there for an hour, #8, which is a good amount of time for placing a phone call to have someone come unlock the car and get the cat out. If it was a stray cat he was just trying to find a nice place to sleep. If it was a pet then it was probably a trusting one who liked car rides. My cat LOVES them.

how bout next time you not leave your car open so cats can get in it????????? brought it on yourself.

That sucks :o Maybe you can get it cleaned out? If you go to a place that can do it properly, they can get rid of all traces of the cat. I hope it's not too expensive. That's rough :/

Seriously, a cat is not magic. They do not appear in your car. You had to have left something open OR your car is a piece of crap with holes in it.

Lol! That sucks. He must've chosen your car, knowing you were allergic to cats. Cats are evil bitches like that.

how'd the cat get in there ? and why is this categorized under love ?

The physics of a cat getting into the interior of a car boggles my mind. Cars are built to be relatively air tight. Perhaps an open sunroof is the answer? Also, I don't know anyone who doesn't have a spare set of car keys. Lastly, carpet cleaners will get the cat hair out of the vehicle. This isn't really a FML it's more of a... fake story?

Apparently FML commenters have not heard of accidently leaving windows and or sunroofs open over night.

The only way a cat got in was by you leaving something open, so that's your fault. You had to unlock the car door to get in the car, how did it magically lock itself when you shut it? And yes I know how an automatic lock works, and this could not be caused by that. This entire story is made of fail and BS.
