Today, my boyfriend of 4 years asked my dad if he could marry me, and my dad agreed. He then tells me that he's not going to propose for maybe another year at least, he "just wanted to get that out of the way." FML

My husband did the same thing. Made it so that I didn't expect him to propose until a work contract that had him out of country was over. He proposed 4 days later. Oh, and we'd been together for 4 years at the time too!

OMG so my best friend and I have none we love each other since forver and he keeps bringing up becoming a couple and he knows how much I want to but then he says "if I ask you out what would you say?" he also says he will "ask me out" soon....I have been waiting for a year now....so I am sorry about your boyfriend cuz guys just like to get girls hopes up. FML too.
