Hood life

Today, my car wouldn't start because of the cold weather. Since I was at a friend's house, I asked him to jump-start it. After taking about ten minutes to start his vehicle and park it by mine, we found that both of our car hoods were frozen shut. FML

Just go on Facebook and make a picture that says. 100 likes and my car will turn on. That should work.

rule #9 always carry a knife. ive had to chip my way into my car before. another tip that usually works if you dont have a knife is bumping your body into the car enough to hear the ice crack. this will typically allow you to open a car door, hood or trunk with fairly little work.

sorry OP but you seriously deserve it.. im from south dakota.. its anywhere between -40 and +40 here... multiple times last week i had to jump start a friends car and my hood was frozen shut along with his.. i literally punched my hood on top of the spring to cause a bounceback effect that 'unstuck' my hood immediately. i may know this trick because im an engineer, but it seems like common sense to at least use the spring u released to loosen the ice. sorry you couldnt use cognitive thinking.
