Today, I awoke at 3am to a discoloured, swollen and excruciatingly painful left foot. After a visit to the doctor and a CT scan, I was diagnosed with gout - AKA the “rich man’s disease.” I am by no means rich and can barely pass as a man, but still get the agonising condition nonetheless. FML

Today, I went to see a doctor due to some gastric distress I have. I came out with directions to buy a blood pressure monitor, I'm prohibited from doing sports, and have a possible diagnosis of arterial hypertension which I am way too young to have. FML

Today, I finally sorted out my health insurance and went to the doctor. After seeing my X-rays and confirming I still had scoliosis, he also confirmed arthritis in both hips, 2 exploded discs and that I have "the back of a 50 year-old." I'm 24. FML

Today, on the third day after I developed what I thought was gout for the first time in my 62 years, it turns out it was just a spider bite on my toe. My wife still thinks I had been drinking on the sly. FML

I had sympotms of gout when I was 16 (but got diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthrities instead). Same happened a few years later on my other leg. I'm 30 now and have not had any more attacks. I hope you'll be fine too!

I had sympotms of gout when I was 16 (but got diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthrities instead). Same happened a few years later on my other leg. I'm 30 now and have not had any more attacks. I hope you'll be fine too!

Sympathies, those effin' hurt. I was around 25 when it started. Haven't had an episode in a few years since I cut off the sodas from my life (I already didn't drink alcohol and didn't eat too much red meat)
