Today, I received an email from a temp agency trying to hire me. Surprisingly, it was the same job I was just laid off from after two years of great employment. They were trying to hire me at half my original salary. FML

Today, I went to ask my boss for a raise. Turns out they are firing 35 people. I wasn't on the list until I asked for a raise. FML

Today, I finally started my job as an in-home caregiver. The man I was hired to care for died two hours after I made it to his house. FML
Today, I was fired for having a haircut that was 'inappropriate for the workplace'. I have alopecia. My boss told me to stop making up excuses. FML
Today, my boss sent me a message about a project, via WhatsApp. It's my day off, so I figured it could wait till I was able to give a flying fuck. Literally a minute later, he was spamming me, demanding to know why I'd left him as read and reminding me that he has firing powers. FML
Today, I showed up for my first shift in my new night job; I now work at an apartment complex during the day and at a gas station at night. It turns out that our biggest problem tenant in the former happens to be my boss in the latter. FML
Today, I was told it was inconvenient for me to take lunch breaks, because someone else has to answer the phones and no one else wants to actually do any work. FML
Today, I arrived at work six minutes late due to heavily congested traffic. This is just two days after my boss put out a memo saying that anyone who's late to work from then until the new year will have their holiday bonus pay forfeited. FML

i think they can't directly drop your salary, but i guess firing you knowing you'd want to get your job back is a loop-hole. i think this makes more sense than my original post. BTW: i rushed my first post because i was excited about being the first to post FML, lol. i guess this statement is overplayed though... but i am honest.

why did they fire you? if they fired you because the job was now surplus to requirements, you now have proof that the job is not surplus to requirements. check the specs of the offered job, because if it is essentially the same as your previous role, you may have a grievance against them for unfair dismissal. check with a 'real' lawyer though, cause I can't dispense advice through here, without specific knowledge.
