Today, I planned to propose to my girlfriend in front of her family at dinner. I had the ring ready and got down on one knee. She immediately burst into laughter and said, "Are you kidding?" The family stared in silence, and I quickly realised she was just teasing me... until I stood up and knocked over an entire table of drinks. FML

He’s never been this well prepared for anything in his life, so he admitted that my mother planned the whole thing and forced him to propose, even though neither of us want to get married. You better plan a romantic tete-a-tete dinner and propose. Privacy is the best for this, and then when she says yes, you can go and celebrate with the family (maybe lock your ma in her room though ^^)
