Today, after years of toil and stress, and months of agony and torture, I have received my iGCSE exam results. I passed them all but because I'm a perfectionist and didn't get the highest grades, I feel like crap. Now I'm thinking about how I'll have to go through it all again for A levels. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, after burning all my past-papers, books and notes in celebration of finishing maths forever, I found out I have to re-take my maths exam to get the minimum grade for college. FML
Today, I re-sat an expensive exam I'd flunked 6 months previously. The same impossible multiple choice questions appeared, which I'd been unable to find the answers to, even with all my textbooks and the internet. FML
Today, I convinced my teacher to let me resit a very important test I failed. I got a lower score the second time around. FML
Today, I realised that I wasted 10 years of my life studying for a godforsaken exam for my career. I took the dang exam 3 times, and failed it. This September will be my last and final attempt, and If I don't make it, I don't know what I will do with my life. Changing careers at 42 just seems too difficult. FML
Today, after weeks of intense studying with the intent of pulling my grades up, I saw that in fact, they've all gone down. FML
Today, the National College Entrance Examination results were released. I only got 643 points. Far fewer than my expectation. Now I have to prepare for one more exam when I enter the college in September to try my luck. FML
Today, I've been feeling like my efforts are never enough. I had 4 exams in one goddamn week, didn't sleep at all for 3 days studying, only to get completely demolished. The teachers put the most complicated problems as if they WANT us to fail. If I fail one class, I'm getting kicked out of my program. FML
Today, I got demonic gastric distress while taking my final college exam. I only got about 50% of it done, left the classroom 50% faster, and experienced both 50% dread and 50% relief. Now I have to repeat 50% of the class. FML
Today, I found out I've miserably failed a college exam. My friend had agreed to pass me answers if I needed them, since I've hardly studied this year. We were on the phone when she said, "Oh, those answers were bullshit. Serves you right, huh?" FML
Today, I sat my end of year assessment. I was quite pleased that nothing I learned in my syllabus came up on the test. FML

Not to be cruel, but for your own mental health’s sake: I genuinely think therapy could help you, because this level of perfectionism is going to end with you completely burning yourself out sooner rather than later.

Even if it doesn't feel like so now, no one cares about your grades, average scores or cum laudes, it is only pass or fail in life and you passed - be kind to yourself.

Please go seek professional help and this is coming from a former afflicted perfectionist, you will only continue to torture yourself mentally and or physically; it is a mental condition that is treatable. But it will become far worse for you if you don't seek out therapy ,there's an incredibly High percentage of perfectionists who end up self-harming or even committing suicide and the rest of us end up with a drug or alcohol addiction. Let me take a wild guess you are an introvert who has very little to no friends & you are socially awkward most times and probably soft spoken 😅

I took my state’s bar exam and passed it. I can think of no one who asked me what my score was, and that test is tougher than an overcooked shoe.
