Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
Today, I came out to my mom. I had an epic speech planned, and when I tried to tell her, it all fell apart and I started crying and just said, "I'm gay." After a few seconds silence, my mom sighs and says, "Duh." FML
Today, my wife of 6 years came out as a lesbian. I moved out of state and away from family to start a new life with her. Turns out she's attracted to my mom. FML
Today, I finally thought that my mother was okay with me being a lesbian. Then, over dinner, she turns to me and says, "So, do you still think you like girls, or are you going to start being normal again?" FML
Today, I finally worked up the courage to tell my mom that I'm gay. She sympathetically patted my back and told me I don't need to make up excuses for me being so unattractive to women. FML
Today, I introduced my girlfriend to my family for the first time. My mother's immediate reaction was, "We didn't know you were gay!" No mom, she really is a girl. FML
Today, I introduced my girlfriend to my parents. My mother turned to me and said, "Wait you're actually gay? I thought you were just saying that to piss off your father." I came out to her when I was 16, and have confided in her about my past relationships. FML
Today, after weeks of thinking and playing every outcome possible in my head, I told my parents I'm gay. My dad nodded and didn't even look up from his book; my mom told me to go to the doctor if it starts to itch. FML
Today, my mom called me into the living room to say that she had something important to tell me. She then explained how she and my dad had "talked things over" and wanted me to know that they accept me and love me no matter what. Apparently my mom thinks I'm lesbian. I'm not. FML
Today, after having a long talk with my mother about LGBT rights, she told me that she was totally open. I felt completely relieved, being gay myself. Seconds later, she said, "But not for you. I want you to find me a nice girl that can give me lots of grandkids." FML

Just went through a similar situation...going into my 3rd year of college and my mom knows im gay. She isn't accepting of it but is working through it...but lately we were speaking and the last thing she said was, "We're so proud of you...Don't blow it by being gay"

Your mother's last throw of the dice in fighting what she deep-down knows is inevitable. The dungarees kill her inside. As does the moustache.

they must be so proud.

YDI for not being normal. Nasty fagot.

you spelled ****** wrong, if you're going to be a jackass to someone at least use the correct spelling of the words you use to insult them.

No I think they meant 'fagot', it's French, pronounced "fah-go" and it means 'fellow homosexual'. and by nasty, I'm assuming that was a typo and they meant to put 'tasty'. Simple mistake I suppose.

I got to this FML after #49's comment was moderated, but based on the translations I'm assuming #60's comment was a win.

Welcome to my favorites list. :-) There's nothing wrong with being gay.

FYL for being gay. Statistically, you will have a higher change of depression and STD than a heterosexual. This is in addition to the certain discrimination you will face from friends, family and co-workers your whole life. Worse part is it's not your fault.

I can't wait for the day in which we don't have to think this way..... that'll be nice.

We must first stop racism before we can stop discrimination. And in a country like the US, there's a long way for that
ChurchofFagenism 0
OP is not in the US, and secondly don't try to say one type of discrimination is worse than the other, racism IS discrimination but so is homophobia, you can't just say "oh hey, stop being racist, but we can work on homophobes later, it's cool"

I love how you just tagged rape and molestation to being gay. There are no similarities between your two examples and being gay.

You've got to be kidding me. I especially like how you basically equate homosexuality to molestation and rape. Who knew stereotypes were so right. Thanks. I'm sure me and the rest of the gays are happy you "have no problem with gays." Makes me feel special. Just stating facts... jerk.

He's not saying that being gay is the same as being a molester to HIM/HER, he's saying most good Christians (Middle Americans, Teabaggers) feel that way.

Erm... Your use the word "except" incorrectly is giving me a headache. You fail.
