I don't see what the problem is if it's common responses like "cool" or "see ya soon" or questions like "what's up?". Doesn't make him lazy, it means he's prob good at time management. You can also program shortcuts like typing in "omw" and it will auto spell out "On my way!" Saves time.

I know girls who do this. Sorry OP. Try to send pictures, if you are cooking something, send a picture of it. It usually begins very funny conversations. ;-)
