Today, we had customer complaints of a child molester hanging around our restaurant. After confrontation by a manager, he wouldn't leave. I had to be walked to my car after my shift by more than one person because I look 12 and they were afraid for me. I'm almost 19. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I babysat an 11 year old kid while his parents ate out. As soon as they left, the kid asked me if I wanted to be on the sex offender's list. Before I could even process that, he told me to stay out of his way and he wouldn't accuse me of anything. FML
Today, I was fired from my job. I was a lifeguard and the other day a 30 year-old man who only spoke Spanish hit on me. I'm 16 and I'd politely rejected him. He then went to the front desk and told them how I tried molesting him in the locker room. FML
What would you do?
Today, I was out grocery shopping when some pervert decided to slap my ass as they walked by. As I turned around to confront them, I saw that the culprit was a 7 or 8-year-old boy. I was so shocked, speechless and angry that I couldn't even decide how to handle the situation. FML
Today, a customer at work made threats against me and my two-month old son. Instead of following policy by notifying the police, my manager apologized to him and told me to leave. FML
Get back here!
Today, the slow, incompetent kitchen staff was keeping customers waiting for their food for 20 minutes. I got sick of a bunch of grown adults with kids my age ganging up on me, so I quit on the spot, and walked. Some guy grabbed me by the collar and dragged me back to the register. People cheered. FML
Chris Hansen time
Today, I met and asked a cute girl out on a date. We decided to meet at a fancy restaurant downtown. When I got there I saw her sitting with what turned out to be her parents. They made a huge scene, calling me a pedophile and a low-life. Apparently, the girl was 16 years-old. I'm 25. FML
Storage wars
Today, I brought my daughter to work with me. When we walked in, a client was blowing up at my boss, all because as my boss was walking past his storage unit, he glanced in and was about to compliment how neat it was. After my boss left, I had to deal with the aftermath, which left my daughter terrified of this man. FML
You tried
Today, while shopping, I saw a little girl and her mom. The girl was pouting so I tried to cheer her up by asking her if she was a princess, because she was so pretty. She smiled but her mom looked at me with disgust and told me to, "Get lost, pedo." I'm a 17-year-old girl. FML
Today, I'm no longer allowed to work the drive-thru at my job, because over the weekend, 3 dumbasses I go to school with came in and complained to my manager, saying I sounded a creepy pervert and that it scared them enough to take their business elsewhere. FML
You people are twisted!
Today, I took my son to the playground and watched him have fun. Minutes later, I was being shoved around and called a pedophile because I was there alone with no wife. By the time I convinced them I was innocent, my son was bawling. FML

Call the police, that's what they get paid for. Remember to serve and protect.

Well I guess Op needs to be more careful.
TrippingOnAcid 29
Your comment confuses me, 2. Nothing in the FML suggests that OP is careless.

#1 - First be safe, then be sorry for being safe?

Yeah I don't think that having caring co-workers is a bad thing, especially by FML standards. I've had one of our security guards walk me to my car after dark and I'm glad I've never had to deal with staff that have made me feel like a burden for it

Sorry autocorrect on my phone

It's a saying, it means you rather be more safe than normal rather than not being safe and having something bad happen

Everybody knows the saying, Op said then by accident though. Which is not nearly as big a deal as people are making it.

Yup I deal with this kinda stuff on a weekly basis. We can also criminally trespass him

Yea, considering that is a violation of a lot of things your employer is not trained to handle, police is always a safe bet to go with.

Don't worry, looking young would be great when you're older.
littleking94 14
agreed. I don't see why anyone thumbed this down
MrsDruidess 23
that crossed my mind too along with at least OP has people that care, or this post was a humble brag. . .
daddysgirl243 21
at least they cared about your safety

Yes! Hell, I'm 20 and can't go anywhere alone because there's a serial killer in my area, but I'm thankful that I have body guards! She should be grateful that people are keeping her safe no matter what her age is.

domolovesyoshi 33
Why would she have gotten fired?
e_is_for_eli 12
why would OP get fired?
laden_swallow09 35
All aboard the comment train! No, seriously. Go back and reread the FML. How could OP possibly be fired over this?

At least you will look like 18 when you're like 30.
littleking94 14
also agreed. why are people thumbing these down. it's a good thing to look young
Ichiya 29
I would rather look my age than look younger to be honest.
Kikiers21042 18
I look younger than my age and don't mind at all, just knowing when I'm older I'll look younger is good enough to deal with it now
zarrganaut 17
That's how I feel now lol. I'm 22 and people always think I'm 18 or 16. It doesn't exactly make me feel good.

You could have been the bait if you guys needed proof!
Aimeejasmine 15
Seriously?
TheAnon1313 28
The idea isn't that flawed, except that it's dangerous, and traumatizing if it accidentally went further than it was meant to, as 'bait'
C00kiesNcream 24
Well atleast it shows they care (: Perhaps someone should ring the police though?
ZombieSazza 34
Why didn't anyone phone the Police if he refused to leave?
sunnyray812 42
If there's not a "no loitering" sign, the cops can't do anything unless the manager refuses to serve the person.
devildog562 33
You should be happy that they care for you enough to make sure you're safe. When I use to work late nights a guy or two would always go with the girls to walk to the parking lots.
