Today, I found out the gift card my friend gave me for Christmas actually has no money on it and was never purchased in the first place. FML
Today, I found a gift card under my bed that I lost a few months ago for $400 to a store that went out of business last week. FML
Today, as I was waiting in line to give my mom her birthday present, my dad gave her the exact same gift I'd also bought for her. FML
Today, I bought my mom a gift certificate for a spa treatment for two so we could spend some quality time together. She took my sister. FML
Today, I received the 'special' present my mother had sent me for my 21st birthday. I opened the box and saw that my mother had picked out, accessorized and shipped to me, in college, a doll. FML
Today, for my mom's birthday, I couldn't figure out what to get her, so I just took some of her jewelry, wrapped it up, and re-gifted it. She recognized it instantly. FML
Today, I received a birthday present from a friend. It was the very same gift I gave to her for Christmas. FML
Today, I celebrated my birthday with my family. As part of my presents, my parents gave me prepaid debit card. When I got home, I looked at it again and realized it's the debit card you get from selling back books to our university bookstore. I bought my own books this year. They gave me my own refund. FML
Today, my mom called me a bastard because I asked for the Target gift card my dad had given to me. FML
Today, I went to my son's friend's birthday party and felt really proud of giving a great gift. It just so happened that I regifted the same gift that his friend's mother gave to my son the month before, because I forgot to check the name on the bag. It looked like she was about to faint. FML

I have three Starbucks gift cards in my wallet, and without checking, I wouldn't know what balance was on each of them. Besides, would you prefer to think that it was done intentionally by the mother? Give her the benefit of the doubt!

Yeah, I've been pretty hit and miss with Starbucks. Sometimes I get a really good drink, and sometimes they taste like watered down shit. Not exactly epic quality. And being in Seattle, there's a Starbucks pretty much every 2 blocks.
