Today, the company I work for decided to herald the step to becoming fully digital by hanging physical passive-aggressive flyers everywhere, urging everyone to go digital. Might as well have written, "Save the trees" on them. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
I wanna go home
Today, I got written up at work. Apparently, "Going fully remote" is not an answer to "How can we be more sustainable at work and help save the planet?" FML
Today, my boss used our communal notebook to bitch out our entire department for not leaving a note notifying her that one of the machines was down. She wrote it on the same page as the note I left saying that one of the machines was down. FML
Don't print this FML
Today, I checked on an uncle following his surgery. I got a two-hour monologue of how the internet doesn't really save paper, because he has to print the bills and receipts, plus pay for ink and staples, and that utility companies are really just shifting costs to the consumer by going "paperless". FML
I'm outta here
Today, I received an email from my boss announcing a new company policy that everyone already hates. Meaning to vent, I typed a snarky reply meant for my friend, saying, "Guess we’re all fucking robots now, huh?" I'd hit "Reply All" instead. Now the entire office, including my boss, knows exactly what I think. FML
Today, my boss hung a dartboard in his office. It has a printout of my employee photo taped to it. FML
Today, I told my boss that I quit, and handed in my two week's notice. A couple of hours later, I found my letter of resignation had been photocopied and copies hung all around the office with "Best day ever" written on the bottom. FML
Leave me alone
Today, I put signs up in the lifts at work with my name and desk phone number as the contact in case the lifts break down. I work in IT so there are hundreds of men in the building. Someone has already drawn a very wonky heart next to my name. FML
Self-care
Today, I was frustrated at work so to have fun, I wrote an email to myself saying that I was great and loved myself and should relax. I used all different colors and fonts. Instead of hitting "delete", I hit "print" without realizing. My manager got it out of the printer and put it on my desk. FML
Game over
Today, I folded a stack of 2,500 brochures for the new exhibit we're putting on at the museum where I work. As I was finishing up, I got an email. The dates have just been changed, so all the brochures have to be reprinted and refolded. FML
On notice
Today, I nearly got written up at work for missing an important memo. The memo was sent to everyone via the company Facebook group and not by our e-mail system. My manager could hardly believe people exist who have no Facebook account and have no intention of making one. FML

Make sure to remove all toilet paper from bathrooms too! Then, when someone hollers for some toilet paper, slide under the stall an iPad with a picture of toilet paper on it and "Go digital" on it.

Why not just save the trees by cutting down trees... How stupid.

This whole situation is simply inconceivable ! A word of which I am still unsure of the actual definition .
The_ghetto_mango 25
Inconceivable: adjective not capable of being imagined or grasped mentally; unbelievable. "it seemed inconceivable that the president had been unaware of what was going on" synonyms: unbelievable, beyond belief, incredible, unthinkable, unimaginable, extremely unlikely

#7, you are amazing for going above and beyond for a commenter who could have just as easily googled that for himself. Props to you.

I could be wrong, but I believe 6 was referencing "The Princess Bride"…
The_ghetto_mango 25
#9- Yes, but the villain guy who employed two other men (a giant and a Spainard) used the word incorrectly. If it was actually a Princess Bride reference, wouldn't the commenter cite whom he was referencing? #8- thanks.
Laphog 17
Welp.... That one bombed .

I got the reference immediately, I just wasn't sure why it was made. There doesn't seem to be anything particularly Vizzini-esque or even Princess Bride-y about this FML.
The_ghetto_mango 25
True, but perhaps #6 is a huge Princess Bride fan.

The connection was that the company does not understand the fundamental reason behind converting to digital files , which is why they posted their promotional flyers in paper form. Just like how in princess bride the villain clearly does not understand the use of the word " inconceivable" it could also be thought inconceivable that a profitable company could have an oversight like that . It was a bad joke haha
syki 22
@17 Not a bad joke, just a pretty big stretch to use it here. :P
