Today, our AC broke. It's 98 degrees inside the house. My parents will be staying at a 5 star resort until the repairman can come to fix the unit in 6 days. They made me stay home to make sure the plants survive. FML

Today, I visited my mom because I don't see her much due to her living 30 minutes away from me. They just recently fixed their AC. A few hours before I was about to leave, it broke again. I tried to be patient but it heated up to over 80 degrees inside, and I'm really sensitive to heat. Thankfully they weren't offended. FML
Today, as I have my entire life, I live in the south. However, our AC decided to break and now it's 91 degrees inside the house, even with fans on and the windows open. FML
Today, my AC stopped working. It's currently 3:08AM and I have 2 fans running, a cold washcloth on my neck, and a window open. It's still hot as hell. Thanks, Florida. FML
Today, my heating broke. It's 22 degrees outside, and my father won't let us call someone to fix it because apparently the cold helps the soul grow. FML
Today, nearing the start of what I was hoping to be a relaxing week off, my air conditioning system died. A replacement system will be in the $7000 range, just the amount I'd finally saved for my dream vacation. FML
Today, my AC stopped working and I have no money. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. FML
Today, I can't get my heat to turn off. It is currently 87 degrees Fahrenheit in my house, and my heat is running non-stop. It's about 20 degrees outside with over a foot of snow on the ground, so a repairman can't come out to fix it. My electricity bill will be about $1000. FML
Today, the toilet on the top floor of my house burst, soaked the bathroom, and water dripped down into the kitchen and the basement for hours when nobody was home. Eight blowers and a dehumidifier later, the house is about 90 degrees and I can't leave. FML
Today, my window got busted and won't shut properly. I live in a college dorm room and maintenance says they can't fix it for a couple of days. It's below freezing in my dorm and I can see my breath while trying sleep. FML
Today, I checked my local weather forecast. The highs are supposed to be 85-94°F (29-35°C) for 9 of the next 10 days. It's been 95-102°F (35-39°C) for the past week. I have no air conditioning. I'm so tired of this heat! Fuck climate change! FML

Mine broke at 9 oclock and in texas outside its 106 degreese My house was over that i called my parents while they went out to a friends house and they called someone to fix the A/C while they went to a hotel to stay and the person who came to fix the A/C at 1 A.M i was in the house the hole time and i lost all my money to pay the repair guy

Fun fact, air conditioning can make you fatter. So by staying in your house, your body is burning tons of calories trying to regulate it's heat :D hooplah, this can be a good thing!

I hate to correct, but cooler air is better. when you sweat, all you lose is waterweight. when it's cold, your body has to burn energy to maintain your body temp, so you actually burn fat when cold

Think about it this way OP, plants use a process called photosynthesis which gives us the oxygen we need to live. You should water the plants since they helped keep you alive 'til today.

Exactly right, No. 11. My parents did that to me once when I was in high school. They took my brother and the three of them went to the beach and left me with the cat. I stayed with a friend and just went over to the house twice a day to feed the cat and change her litter and of course when the AC repairman came so he could get in and fix the darned thing. When they came home they were really pissed because they wanted to rub my nose in all the fun they had while I sweated like a dog. I got to smile and tell them I spent it splashing around in my friend's new pool and sleeping in their air conditioned home.
