Today, my son got an email saying he could win an iPad if he just entered his credit card number. He asked for mine, telling me that it was so he could buy some school supplies online, so I gave it to him. The internet just conned a credit card number out of a 17-year-old nitwit. And me. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Stop the steal
Today, my son admitted to maxing out my credit card, gambling on a some scam website that a dumbass streamer was promoting. He's only 10. FML
Today, my son surprised me on my birthday with tickets to a concert I really wanted to see. I was excited, especially since I planned to buy them but couldn't due to the fact it was too expensive. I was ecstatic, until I found out he'd stolen my credit card to buy them. FML
Smart move
Today, my six year-old son maxed my credit card on Robux. FML
Scared straight
Today, my husband was concerned about our son using the Internet, so he told him a story about a kid who gave out his personal information and was kidnapped and killed by a maniac. Now our son is scared to use anything with a screen. FML
Today, I told my son if he wanted the new internet password he had to clean his room. I then caught him disconnecting my laptop from the internet. Turns out he changed the password months ago and now if I want the new password he wants £50. I ended up paying. I'm actually proud of the sneaky sod. FML
Hustlers
Today, I found out that my 14-year-old son spent hundreds of dollars on what appears to be a misogynist multi-level marketing hustlers' website. How did he pay for this horseshit, and how did I found out? My PayPal account sent me emails, telling me that several purchases had been made, but too late for me stop them. FML
Money money money
Today, my fiancé and I got a joint account recently, but when I got home he was on the phone to the bank claiming our credit card number was cloned, because of the ridiculous number of random purchases. I checked my online banking. It was all just my normal buying habits. FML
Today, I turned on my boyfriend's computer and saw pictures of all of my credit cards, front and back, and several of my parent's credit cards. I looked in his e-mail and found receipts for items which had been billed to me and delivered to him, including golf clubs and my birthday gift. FML
Little shit
Today, my son tried extort me into turning the WiFi back on by hiding my purse. He was mad because he'd lost access for being disrespectful. FML
Boozehound
Today, I found out my credit card was maxed out to the penny, all thanks to purchases made on an online wine store. Apparently my mother was thirsty enough to steal from her own son. FML

Next time, tell him you have to see what he’s purchasing and enter the card info yourself.

I see it as an FML in the respect that you trusted your son and he lied to you and used your card number for an line scam. I also see it a YDI for raising an idiot.

I want to say YDI for just giving your credit card to your son without checking. if I needed something I had to show my parents before they bought it.

maybe only put in your credit card info yourself? I don't even let my family or anyone use my card without me putting in the information myself

Call the credit card company and get a new card sent to you. Report it lost/stolen and tell them you don't authorize any charges made onto your account by said con artist. If you do it right away, you should be good. After that, don't give your son your info again. He has proven that he can't be trusted. I was never like that and was the person helping my mom do financial things, so my mom could always trust me not to do anything crazy with mine. I'm the one reminding her of her passwords most of the time.

YDI for giving your kid your credit card. I don't even have kids and even I know that's a big parenting no-no.
