Today, my roommate forgot to pay the water bill on time, so they shut it off. Now we're without running water for 3 days and I'm taking my morning dump in Target next to a stranger. FML

Today, my roommate decided to go on a group trip instead of paying our water bill. Now I can't shower until next week. FML
Today, my water got cut off. The previous homeowners owed the water company over $300, and the company doesn't believe that I'm not them. The supervisor told me this will keep happening until I pay up. I need a shower. FML
Today, I finally got my paycheck that I could enjoy $300 for myself after taking care of my bills with so many other ones. Then, I find out that the water was shut off, which is supposed to be my roommate's responsibility. Apparently, he has not paid it in months, and they want $288. FML
Today, while apartment hunting with my boyfriend, I needed to use the bathroom. We were on our own and no toilet paper. Fortunately I carry wipes with me, because I had to more than just pee. All was fine, until I tried to flush and realized the water was turned off. The next person will get quite the surprise. FML
Today, my apartment management notified me that my water was going to be shut off all day so they could fix the plumbing. I took a laxative last night. FML
Today, I took a big, smelly, satisfying dump when I woke up. When I tried to flush, nothing happened. None of my four roommates bothered to tell me we didn’t have running water. FML
Today, I'm stuck at home waiting on a plumber to come fix the flooding in my basement. The flooding happens when any sink, shower, or toilet in the house is used. Today is also the day that I started my period. Without water. FML
Today, I came home and heard the shower running. Assuming my roommate was in there, I yelled, “Don’t use up all the hot water!” Then my roommate walked in with groceries. I froze. The shower stopped. The bathroom was empty. Now I have to move out or start charging rent to a ghost. FML
Today, the city shut off the water at my house because my roommate thought that the water bills he had been hoarding were "suggestions." FML
Today, we had to turn the water off due to a massive leak in the kitchen sink that the plumber was currently fixing. I managed to wait two hours before my uncooperative digestive tract said it couldn't wait any longer and I had to take a mega dump in the bathroom. I couldn't flush the toilet or wash my hands. FML

Ever heard of a bucket? Just ask to borrow your neighbour's garden hose and fill up your toilet's tank manually.

I just signed in to say what chickensheep had already said... Get some buckets or bottles or whatever, you can even pour it in the bowl to get the toilet to flush if you aren't comfortable taking the lid off of the tank...

If you're in a house, there's many ways around it. If you're neighbors house is fairly new it'll work best as they've most likely poly lines in their house. Step 1 - buy a cheap cross connector from a plumbing shop. Step 2 - connect your hose to his via cross connector. Step 3 - turn his outdoor hose tap on full and turn yours on. Voila, you've free water. His house is now feeding yours.
