Today, my mom told me that she doesn't want me to help any of my friends get a job at the restaurant I work at. Apparently, she thinks that they would do a better job than me and get me fired. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, at the restaurant I work at, my own mom refused to give a tip and complained to my boss. FML
Spanner
Today, I found out that my mom called my boss informing him that I am a little behind on some college projects. She felt he should know that she fears I might not be able to graduate on the planned date. My boss had already offered me a permanent job. I may not get that job now. FML
Today, my mother won't let me intern at a prestigious college, working with graduate students and professors, and being paid, because she doesn't want to drive me. FML
Today, my boss fired me from my job at a local family-owned business. Thanks, mom. FML
Today, I shouldn't have told my boss that I was interested in management. She now throws any problem she doesn't want to solve at me and either gets mad when I can't work it out or takes credit when I do. FML
Today, my mother told me I should think about quitting school. She explained that the reason was because she didn't want me to be more successful than my older sisters. FML
New hire
Today, my mom started her new job; she's now my new coworker. She's already told the other girl I'd said she talks too much, and has berated me for not calling her "Mom" while at work. FML
Mommy's boy
Today, my mother, who insists on sticking her nose into every aspect of my life, found out I'm only "middle management" and called my boss to criticize her for undervaluing me, demanding I be promoted immediately. I'm now the laughing stock of my office. FML
Happy Birthday, Sweaty
Today, I got a call from the office telling me I was fired. When I asked why, my boss explained my mother called and told him I was in a "weak mental state." She thought she was helping me get off for my birthday. Now I have no job. FML
Lowered expectations
Today, I was told that couldn’t become assistant manager of my job anymore. I already told my family I was going to be one, and they'd all said how proud of me they were. FML

not really an fml, that's good advice, and if I sucked at my job i wouldn't invite friends to apply either.

Maybe it is time you adopted a work ethic.

Your mom knows you, so maybe this would be a good time to sit back and evaluate why she thinks all of your friends are harder/better workers than you. It sounds like you're lazy or have a poor work ethic. So don't diss your mom for trying to help you. In this case, you need to help yourself. Or don't listen to her an have a nice time being unemployed.

how is this an FML? never work with friends. period. and you probably stink at your job if your mom as to say this? work harder, its not hard to do a better job at your own job if you know what you're doing.
