Today, my husband and I were talking about names for our expectant child. I told him since I named our daughter he could name our son. He's decided on a name from 'God of War'. My son is going to be named after a make-believe cartoon character - Kratos. FML

Best Baby Names of 2021
Today, my boyfriend has had name ideas for his future son and daughter even before I met him, but so have I. He disregards my ideas and suggestions, and is hell bent on giving our kids names because he likes "the way they sound." 'Hippopotamus' sounds good, but who’d name their kids that? FML
Today, my husband and I agreed that he would name our first born and I would name our second. He's dead-set on naming our child "Raindropp" no matter whether it's a boy or girl. FML
Kid A
Today, me and my husband are having our first big marital argument. Our baby still doesn’t have a name, all because I want to call her a normal name and he wants to call her some obscure name from an anime he really likes. I’ve never seen him this stubborn about anything this stupid. FML
Today, I found out that my wife named our son after her ex boyfriend. FML
Today, I found out my wife named our son after her ex-lover. FML
Joyful news!
Today, I learned that I'm expecting twins. A boy and a girl. My husband, upon finding out about this, immediately suggested that we give them Star Wars names. But not Luke and Leia. Oh no. He wants to name them Darth and Vayda. And he is absolutely serious about this. FML
Is Leatherface next?
Today, I heard my brother and sister-in-law discussing whether they should name my soon-to-be-born niece Annabelle or Samara. My nephews are named Jason, Freddy and Chucky. See the pattern? FML
Copycat
Today, my father-in-law announced the name of his new son, my husband's half-brother. The first name and last name is the same as our son, who I gave birth to 4 months ago. FML
Today, I found out that my 6-year-old son was named after my wife's "Favorite Uncle" because he might also be the father. FML
Today, I learned that the hardest part of marrying a historian is choosing baby names. His top choices derive from two Roman magistrates, two abbesses, a tenth-century author, and an obscure Greek official. I already let him name our pug, for whom he chose the name "Tertullianus." FML

i dont get the "i name one kid, you name the other" mentality. why dont you just work together to find a name you both like?

"Make-believe cartoon character"?! Whoa whoa whoa, you've gone too far, there. Besides, it's a totally cool name, you must admit.

Don't name him Kratos, think of all the money you'll have to spend on his video games. But Seriously, Kratos doesn't work for just anyone. If he's some wimpy nerd named Kratos, he's just going to get made fun of more. And when he's older, like 45 or 50, he will not appreciate this. I can see naming him Kratos of your first kid is like Athena or something, but "these are my two kids, Sarah and Kratos" just doesn't work. Give the kid a normal name and save him the embarassment. I agree with #46

Yeah, give the kid a normal name, allow him to easily lubricate his way into the fold of cud chewing cattle. Express your wishes that he be "LIKE EVERYONE ELSE" Turn your back on hope and love and individuality. I'm still voting for "STILLBORN"

I know a guy who named his kid Peter-Optimus. Consider yourself lucky.

Make it like a middle name, so it's not so dumb looking. Expecially if he ends up going to Greece, they won't give him hell.

Have you never read mythology?! I can tell you haven't.lol Don't make that sort of mistake in wording again, or else what you say will sound silly and not terrible.

What's wrong with having a name that few others in the WORLD will have?? Originality at it's best ay? This is not an FML anyways...it would be a FHL..but i wouldn't put it that far anyways. Also. It's not a fake game. So nice job on that. And the name itself is real. Read up on it some. It means Strength. How badass is it to have a name that means strength? **** you.
