Today, my grandson visited me, and asked if I had any pictures of myself from when I was a little girl. I happily looked for a few photos to give him, asking what had piqued his curiosity. He replied that he wanted some for a presentation he's doing on the Middle Ages. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, my grandson asked how old I am and whether I'd seen Mammoths "for real" when I was a kid. FML
Cropped
Today, I sent my grandfather a picture of me because he hasn't seen me in years. I guess I should wear makeup next time, because he sent back a heavily photoshopped and cropped version and told me how beautiful I look. FML
Today, I asked my dad why he only has pictures of me from when I was a little kid. Without skipping a beat, he said, "I only keep pictures from when I liked you." FML
Today, the new guy at work - who is probably at least ten years older than I am - admired the photo on my desk of myself with my husband and teenage daughters and asked, "Are those your grandchildren?" I'm in my 40's. FML
You happened
Today, my 11-year-old son and I were going through some old photos. He saw one of me when I was 22 on a beach, wearing a bikini. He said "Wow! Who's that?" Quite proudly I said it was me. He looked at me and said "What happened?" FML
Photoshopped
Today, when I visited my grandmother at her nursing home, I was looking at pictures she had of all the grandkids. All were normal graduation pictures etc. but mine was a cutout where she made me skinnier. FML
Check please!
Today, my date told me I have a smile that "reminds him of his grandma." Then he showed me a picture. I look exactly like her. FML
Bigmouth strikes again
Today, I noticed a picture in an elderly patient's room, of a pretty girl in a bikini. Trying to be funny and lighten the mood, I said, "Looks like you have some good eye candy to help you recover faster." With a stern look he replied, "That's my granddaughter." FML
Today, my son was looking through old photos and showed me a picture of myself and asked who it was. When I told him it was me, he responded by saying "But mommy, the lady in the picture is not fat!" FML
Today, I finally found out where my great-grandmother's antique handheld mirror disappeared to. According to the headmaster, my eleven year-old son has been using it to look up his classmates' dresses at school. FML

See if you can get a pic from when earth was created. That would get him a better grade guaranteed. Perhaps a picture of you riding a dinosaur.

Your grandson's a dumbass. My condolences.

He's probably a young child who thinks anyone above the age of twenty is old! I hope you don't call your kids that in the future when they say something like this.

Then again this al depends on the age of te grandson, of he's young this is kinda cute. Of he is older he may either be an idiot or just plain rude.
emilyjgraham 34
He may have just been sarcastic if he his older. We can't be too sure on OPs sense of humour, she may have actually found it funny. :)

If she didn't mind there would be no FML right? So I assume it hurt her.

Possibly the realization of her age hurt more than her grandsome of maybe 12-15 making a joke? Or simply a grade schooler not learning about that era or history yet, if he is doing a project on it than he may be just starting and i highly doubt you could have told anyone where in time it fell before highschool most people can't tell you what era came when in their 40's... So think before you speak.

I agree with you on the part about the realization of her own age, that that may have had an impact on OP. But no need to get all judgemental on my ass.

A lot of the FMLs are funny ones. They're not all serious and they're light hearted a lot of the time. Just because it's on here doesn't mean she's actually offended.

I would photoshop the hell outta that picture. One as a little girl riding a mammoth, one as a teenager in the Middle Ages and one during world war 1

You know kids. They think Anyone who is older than 21 and isn't their sibling knew King Arthur.
