I'm just wondering though, how she could cover that all this time? After 8 years you usually live together, marry, have children or at least plan those in the near future. And even, if there are circumstances given that keep them from seeing each other every day (eg. job in another town) it amazes me (in a bad way) how someone can be this heartless... I mean you are with someone in a close relationship for 8 ******* years (that's almost a decade!!) and still it's ok for you to lie to him about basically anything? Wow, just wow...
