Today, my ex said I had a lot in common with his new girlfriend. His new, grossly overweight, college drop-out, clinically depressed, constantly pot-smoking girlfriend. FML

Today, my friend was complaining about about her new boyfriend. Playing around, I told her that he sounded a lot like my ex. He is. FML
Today, I met the guy my ex left me for. He's morbidly obese, has no personality, and got her drinking again, even though she has a problem. She says, "I've never been happier." Now everything I've done for my anxiety and depression has come undone, and I can't be convinced there isn't something horribly wrong with me. FML
Today, I was having an after work-out dinner with my ex-girlfriend and we were having a great time, catching up, eating good food, all the good things. Then when I got home, I realized I just talked to my ex-girlfriend for an hour and a half about how much better her new boyfriend is than me. FML
Today, I was hanging out with my ex's new girlfriend. I found out he was dating us both at the same time and was comparing between us. That is why he broke up with me two years ago and is still with her ever since. FML
Today, I found our that my crazy ex, who, after our break up, said to me, "I'm setting my life to make yours hell" has befriended my current girlfriend. FML
Today, I pulled up my ex's socials so my girls and I could laugh at the gross fat chick he's dating now. I ended up crying because he looks so much happier with her than he was with me. FML
Today, after seven months apart, I agreed to meet with my ex, wondering if he'd changed. He sure did. He lost a ton of weight and picked up several new hobbies. He also picked up a 23 year-old new girlfriend. She's slimmer and prettier than I'll ever be. I threw my drink in his face and left in tears. FML
Today, I went out on a date with an ex-boyfriend who I hadn't seen since college. He took me to a bar, where he was oddly quiet, but drank heavily. When the bartender asked us if we were ok, he replied, "This is my ex-girlfriend. Can you believe she used to be skinny?" FML
Today, I saw my friend's ex and noticed she had gained a ton of weight since he dated her and had been dating someone else. It reminded me of my friend, so I messaged him and made a joke about her being unrecognizable. He informed me that they started seeing each other again last week. FML
Today, my ex, for whom I still have feelings, introduced me to his new girlfriend. To make things "less awkward," he invited a mutual friend of ours. However, the last time I'd seen this friend, it was a week after my ex and I had broke up, and we hooked up. Awkward doesn't cover it. FML

Sounds to me like things didn’t end on good terms. If you know she’s a college drop out and clinically depressed then you must have been doing some digging on her. Just stop talking to the dude. Won’t get anything out of it but petty insults.

Is what you have in common with the new girlfriend a judgmental and shallow attitude? Maybe your ex meant you two like the same things, fave tv show or something but you had to go and think it's about appearances and all the negative qualities the new girlfriend has.

That was my first thought. Insulting someone based on their weight and mental illnesses? I can see why the OP got dumped. Insult someone based on shit that is their own fault, not their appearances and illnesses.

Wow your a very judge mental person. You can not just judge someone and think poorly of a person because of their weight. You have no idea what’s going on with them. They may have a medical issue like pcos that makes it hard to loose weight. Or in some cases even depression medication can cause weight gain. There is nothing wrong with being a college drop out you do not need to go to college to prove your worth. Also once again you have no idea why she dropped out of college it could be many things. As for her having depression why are you being insulting over that? No one can control how their brain works what right do you have to look down on her for that. And as for smoking pot there are a lot of doctors who prescribe this for many things including drepression. I’m really glad that guy is your ex he really dodged a bullet with you.

Um, maybe don’t be in contact with him? What his new girlfriend is like really is none of your beeswax to be honest. You should drop the judgmental attitude. It’s not helping anything. All those things are reversible anyways, she just needs exercise routines, some educational options, and a regular counselor while using all three things to stop smoking.
