Today, my dad introduced me as his pet orangutan. I'm a redhead. FML

philosophicallll tells us more.

I know he was kidding. My dad has an amazing sense of humor and I love him very much, but unfortunately for him, the person he was introducing me to doesn't have a sense of humor at all. She now glares at my dad and yells at him whenever he makes any jokes about me. So karma did happen, no revenge needed.

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

Evolution holds true? Well to him...

I know it may not be funny to you, hearing something like that come from your father, but this is hilarious to me.

redheds in south Africa... o.O

And gingers shall inherit the earth. I don't understand your surprise at the fact there are read heads there. We are everywhere.

27, I think 21 needs to borrow one of your 'a's.

Why wouldn't there be redheads in South Africa?

It's actually cute, if you're dad thinks you wouldn't mind such an introduction, it implies you and he get along really well! Atleast that's what he thinks, usually if it's their step daughter or son he would have made a formal introduction showing he's not so close to you

This is the proof you are not an orangutan: they all have a great sense of humor...

That's just mean.

My dad used to tell my friends I was adopted but I would always think of a way to embarrass him later. Those were good times... I think if your dad has a good sense of humor and you guys tease each other your lucky to have him. Don't be so dramatic.

@29 This isn't even dramatic, it's just a small complaint.

I was agreeing with your comment 100% until the last sentence. OP wasn't being dramatic at all. You know the intent of this site, right?

I agree I don't think I should have called OP dramatic.

When my sister was younger, I used to tell her that she was an actual monkey we found, shaved, and taught English too. She believed it and she would cry

Heeeyyyyy....I'm a red head toooo!!...how rude lol

my mom does this to me for the same reason. I'm 25 now and she still does it. to her it never gets old. I'm sorry, but he will probably continue to do it. it's a down fall of being a ginger.
