Today, my dad hurt his back. He went to a physical therapist who gave him some exercises to do. I have to watch him lie on his back and air hump while groaning every hour on the hour for the next two weeks. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Rhythm method
Today, I hurt my back, and now I have to lie on my stomach for twenty minutes every hour so I can ice the pain. My boyfriend won't stop using my ass as bongo drums every time. FML
Today, I went to my doctor to get my x-ray results. Turns out, I have a fractured spine and a chip of my spine has moved. Now I'm in a neck brace because my dad didn't think it was serious, and told me to "suck it up princess." FML
Help me out here
Today, I finally saw a physical therapist for frequent right hip pain that was interfering with my sleep schedule and causing that specific area of my leg to atrophy from not using it as much. After doing all of the stretches, the pain doesn't seem to have improved, despite him recognizing what the problem was. FML
Today, my dad got drunk and played a practical joke on me; a practical joke that resulted in my knee being broken. Now, I'm sitting in a hospital bed all alone while my dad hunts for "hot nurses". FML
You tried
Today, I’m a single parent and lately I’ve been working out to get healthier. During a session, I injured my back pretty badly. Now I need help getting out of bed, etc. I just wanted to make sure they wouldn’t ever need to take care of me. FML
Today, I finished a full marathon and just wanted to relax and get pampered by my husband afterwards. Instead, I spent the evening taking care of him and his back because he had a spasm. Don't worry, he feels much better now. Meanwhile, I can’t move my legs. FML
Walk it off
Today, my dad told me that my stomach pain is from a lack of exercise. He knows I've recently had a medical procedure that's known to cause pain in the aftermath, but he dismisses it as a cause. By the way, I can't exercise because of the pain. FML
On the move
Today, my wife yelled at me for not helping her rearrange the furniture. I have a sprained shoulder and have been ordered by my doctor to avoid heavy lifting. She said, "Move the couch or sleep on it." FML
Fade out
Today, after my dad and I had a real heart to heart and even settled some differences last night, this morning he was back to his grumpy asshole self. He even asked what he did last night, because he was on the new painkiller his doctor prescribed, and couldn’t remember a thing. FML
Extreme shot reaction
Today, a day after my mom and I got the vaccine, we've been doing everything around the house with one hand each through the pain. My dad hasn't helped out at all despite my requests, and sees nothing wrong with this. FML

How is this an FML? Your dad's the one whose injured, in pain, and having to do the exercises (which he probably thinks are just as embarrassing as you do). Did it ever occur to you that the reason you need to be in the room with him is in case something goes wrong and he hurts himself worse? Back injuries, even minor ones, are not to be taken lightly. You don't have to literally watch his every move - read a friggin' book or something. "Oh my god! I have to watch my hurt father 'hump' the air for a few minutes every hour so he can regain his full mobility! My life SUUUUCKS." Grow up.

Boy, am I glad you're not my daughter! Your poor father has pain from his bad back, which may get better, while his daughter is a selfish pain in the ass!

Suck it up, help your dad and get over it. My dad put his back out 9 yrs ago. How? He worked for the school board moving furniture. He threw out his back and now has 5 crushed disks on his back. Everyday I see this hardworking man in pain. Everyday! Is it fun? Hell no. Do I like seeing my dad like this? No ******* way. If I could change things for him I would. But I cant. My point here?? Stop making fun of your father and stop complaining. Its not his fault hes in pain. Act like and adult and help your dad out instead of being on here. Be lucky you still have him and plz DO NOT COMPLAIN

Really? Your dad is in serious pain, and you are just worried about your own selfishness.
