Today my college professor told me that I ask him too many questions. Apparently, my college tuition fee doesn't include learning. FML
Today, my professor spent the entire class showing us how to make paper airplanes. I pay over 40 grand a year for college. FML
Today, I asked my professor what happened to the assignment I gave him several weeks ago. Turns out he lost it, and graded me zero as a result. Now if I want a mark, he says I'll have to hand-write it all over again, but that I "probably shouldn't bother," because it was "a bit shit, really." FML
Today, after turning in a paper that I worked really hard on, I got it back with a grade of 0. In the feedback section, my professor wrote: “In all my 37 years of teaching, this is by far the worst essay I have ever read.” FML
Today, I got my grades back. I got a very poor evaluation for my lit class, which was odd because it didn't match the impression from my end-of-class meeting with the professor. It does, however, include a nod to the supposedly-anonymous negative class review I gave her, though. FML
Today, my English professor bragged to my entire class about how good my essay was. He kept on saying great things about it for the duration of class. To my surprise, he'd given me a C-. When I asked why, his only response was: "I'm a hard grader." FML
Today, my university professor asked us to submit anonymous course feedback. I wrote three paragraphs criticizing his lectures. Ten minutes later, I realized I'd left my full name at the bottom of the page. FML
Today, I found out that my stick figure drawing passed as homework during my doctoral level seminar. I'm paying over two thousand dollars for this course. FML
Today, I got the best grade in class on my economics midterm. Rather than tell me I did a good job, my professor criticized me in front of everyone about how I was working "too hard". FML
Today, I drove to my college campus for my 8 a.m. class, parked, walked the mile and a half to my classroom, just to find out class had been cancelled. The prof didn't send an email because she couldn't remember her password. I paid $1200 to be taught by this woman, who has a doctorate. FML

who the **** pays $20k/year for a typical college/university degree? I know for a fact that 4 years in a regular college to get a degree comes up to approximately $40k in tuition costs...

#43 Actually, a lot of people pay that much. Private colleges typically cost a lot more. I'm not saying that I would pay that much, but a great number of people do. A few of my friends went to a private college where the annual cost was around $35,000. I, on the other hand, went to community college...And I'm not complaining. :)

The college I am going to is 48k/year. Thanks to financial aid, not all of that comes out of my pocket, but it's expensive now. Even my community college was 10k/year.

It really is crazy. If you don't get a job that pays enough you could spend a good part of your life paying off student loans for a degree that was supposed to help you get a good paying job. Thankfully Uncle Sam is going to help me pay for college.

Yep. They are making people get college degrees for things that only required training back in the 1950s. What happened to apprentices? People that want to be doctors and such should go to college. Yes. But colleges are capitalizing on the supposed need to have a college degree for everything. That is why they are raising tuition. People still need education and are going to pay for it no matter what.
