Today, my boyfriend lost his temper with me and complained that my "constant" apologies for upsetting him drive him insane, and without thinking, I said I was sorry. He hung up and I haven't heard from him since. FML

hey guys, OP here, my bf is an amazingly great guy, and he cares about me very much, and Its just I have low self esteem, so even if I bump into him, ill apologize over and over again, and it bugs him because im always beating my self up, we have great communication, so later that day he called me back and apologized for being rude, im the luckiest girl alive to have a bf like mine :)

I do the same thing. I literately apologize for everything and people are always annoyed by it :/

I've never seen a FML where OP commented so much on it. Most of the time I see OP commenting once or twice but this one is not like that.

is that bad? I just don't like leaving people hanging with unanswered questions

Hey, you're apologizing for nothing again... It isn't bad, it's just unusual. ;)

im not apologizing, im just asking if thats bad, which isnt

Thank you for responding so much OP. You are really helping to expose the closed-minded, judgmental asshats who jump right on the "dump him/her" bandwagon on every relationship FML. I would be surprised if any of them had a relationship that lasted more than 12 hours with that kind of mentality.

exactly, I do have an amazing bf, but no one is perfect, thats why their relationships don't last, they don't communicate, and the second someone screws up its over, I don't understand that, NO ONE is perfect

I too apologize excessively. My boyfriend also gets quite irritated about it. But he has his fun at times. He yelled "Gosh darnit, Paige!!" And I began apologizing again and he laughed at me and asked me why I was apologizing.

If he looses his temper like that tell him to be nice to you and DON'T apologize for being mad. show him who's boss girl.

so your telling me he is not used to constant apologies.... he is not a true Canadian!! You deserve a Canadian that will apologize as much as you do... I do not think that will be very hard:)

I use to do that all the time too, just remember its not always your fault and you don't need to apologize for EVERY little thing you may have done, it will be ok.

If you think about it, there really isn't a good way out of that accusation.

I know how you feel. One time, I got too happy and went to play smack my bf. He took a shorter step at the same instance and I smacked his glasses of his face. The lenses popped out and as he was struggling to put them back in, I unconsciously went into excessive apology mode. He got really frustrated and took it out on me by accident. When he told me to "Stop frikken APOLOGIZING", all I could do was say sorry again. But everything worked out in the end and I hope yours does too! I hope my story made you feel better! ^^
