Today, my boyfriend forgot to pick our son up from daycare. His excuse? Fighting in a battle in World of Warcraft was far more important and he had to stay absolutely focused. Our son had to wait for two hours. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had to explain to my son that his dad was too busy in a raid on World of Warcraft to be at his award ceremony. FML
Today, I went into labor and got my husband drive me to the hospital. Instead of staying by my side, he rushed back home for a World of Warcraft raid. His excuse? His friends were counting on him and they'd be pissed if he let them down. FML
Today, I asked my dad to pick me up from school, he said he couldn't. Why? he was busy playing world of warcraft for the night. I got to walk the 3 hours home while my 49 year old dad played computer games. FML
Today, my boyfriend dumped me because he said the relationship was too tough for him. When I asked for an example, he responded, "Like, I don't have enough time to play World of Warcraft." FML
Today, my boyfriend refused to take me out on our three year anniversary because he was busy, "training to become a professional gamer." FML
Tidy
Today, my boyfriend taught my son to do his chores. Not real chores, but "Runescape chores" on my boyfriend's account. My son won't pick up his toys or put his shoes away, but he'll jump on the computer to grow plants or cut trees or some other stupid shit. FML
New quest
Today, it became apparent that my boyfriend only showers when he levels up on World of Warcraft. FML
Today, my boyfriend forgot to pick me up from work. We work at the same place. FML
Pay attention!
Today, my boyfriend and I were arguing about how he was too busy for me. During that conversation, he was texting his best friend and then called by his brother to drive him home. Instead of returning to finish our conversation, he left to prepare for his fishing trip with his mates tomorrow. FML
Today, I realized that I'll have to explain to my child that mommy and daddy met on World of Warcraft. FML

My mom (who I no longer see thank god) forgot my sister and me at elementary school for 3 hours one day and it was one of scariest times of my life. Luckily my dad saw us waiting outside while driving by (my parents are divorced) and picked us up and took us to his house.. Thankfully he was at daycare and not just waiting outside. Sorry to hear about this! So sad. Kids are always #1 priority!

There is major difference between being a father and a sperm donor. He hasn't picked up on that yet.

I think this is the first time I have seen an excuse to rip out someone hard drive and smash it with a hammer.

There is never a reason for that. I'm not saying that what he did was okay, but it's not like it only happens to completely incompetent people. When you are focused on something, things around you can get forgotten. Again, what he did wasn't okay. If he knew he had to get your son, he should have never started a game

124. Ive actually had to set alarms in games that have no clock. Diablo comes to mind lol. Fortunately WoW DOES have a clock in game and even alarms. Sooooo no excuse.

Diablo has a clock. At least on the PC version.

I think your hobbies will be more important and require your focus over having sex or giving blow jobs for a while! Or better: you have sex and as soon as you cum walk away and say you are too busy to finish him!

well if he gets off before her then your plan is ruined!

I could see someone doing that if their son was in highschool (if WoW is really that important to him) not daycare aged. that's unsafe, irresponsible, pathetic.

Yet another reason to hate World of Warcraft.

That is NOT okay. It may seem like a little mistake but parents who forget their kids for even 15 minutes, once, can leave behind a scar! Even as a toddler he will probably remember his whole life the feeling of not knowing where his parents were :(

I don't think being 15 min late to pick up your child Is going to scar them for life.
