Today, my boss contacted me to come in for a quick meeting. I drove 30 minutes to get to work only to find out she was firing me and wanted my key card back. FML

Today, I was enjoying my first vacation day in 2 years. My boss then called me to come in, saying it was an emergency. I got to work and got fired. Yes, my boss made me come in just to fire me. FML
Today, I got fired from my first-ever job. Via text. I hadn't even started the first day but I'm expected to drive an hour and a half to my now ex-boss's house to return the key. FML
Today, my boss fired me by locking me out of my workplace after I went out to throw out the trash. FML

Today, I woke up, got dressed, drove for an hour, just to find out that I was fired. This is the closest job near me. FML
Today, my girlfriend came to my workplace to tell me she was breaking up with me. My boss, who was passing by, fired me for "chatting with friends" during work hours. FML
Today, I came in to work to hand in my resignation. The minute I walked in, my manager took me aside and said he wanted to talk to me in private. He then cancelled my position and fired me. FML
Today, I was supposed to start my first day of work at my dream job. However, my car had other plans and refused to start. When I called my boss to tell him I was going to be late, he told me not to come in at all and fired me on the spot. FML
Today, my boss fired me because I corrected him after he misspoke during a meeting. FML

I went through something similar. It was dreadful! The only difference is that I had also made sure to pack all his personal belongings in a garbage bag and made the janitor hand it to him.

I had a similar situation years ago. Had worked six days straight and was looking forward to a lie in when I received a call at 7am to request that I cover someones shift. When I finished and was going home the boss told me I was no longer needed. Prick. FYL OP.
