Today, it was my birthday. I finally got the PS3 I've been asking for, for a long time. When I opened the box, I didn't find a PS3, but a bunch of clothes that my mom put in my brother's PS3 box. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
That's worth $0.30 at GameStop!
Today, it's my birthday. My mom and three other relatives each bought me a copy of Diablo 3 for my birthday. A video game that I didn't ask for, for a console I don't have. FML
Happy Birthday
Today, my parents gave me my birthday present. Two weeks ago, I'd ordered an Xbox online. Three days ago, it came to my house, and my parents thought they could save money by putting wrapping paper on it, and giving it to me for my birthday. That's all they got me. FML
Today, it's my birthday. My mom got me a gym membership and a bunch of clothes that are a few sizes too small. FML
Today, I got a birthday package from my parents. It was all the stuff I'd forgotten there when visiting a month ago, along with some other things I'd left behind when I moved out. FML
Today, when I saw a big box that looked like a playstation, I got really excited and my parents were there and everything looked like it really was something big, so I start to open the wrapper and surprise... it was a lamp. FML
Today, it's my birthday. After a day out partying, I came home to find all my stuff smashed in the yard, even my 42" plasma TV. After asking my girlfriend what her problem was, she said a "slut" left a message on the machine stating how fun last night was. It turned out to be my mom. FML
Thanks, iHate it
Today, it was my birthday. I have been heavily hinting that I want an iPhone. I opened my present from my parents and found an iPhone box. Ecstatic, I quickly opened it. Apparently, my parents thought it would be funny to wrap my present, a $10 iTunes gift card, in the box my Dad's iPhone came in. FML
Today, I invited my boss and his family over for dinner. As usual, I bought his kids Christmas' presents, nothing too fancy though. This year, he had one more that wasn't here last year. So I just pulled something from under the tree to hand him. He opened it on the spot. It was my son's PS3. FML
Today, it was my brother's birthday. I was short on money but got him a present anyway. After opening it, he looked at it and said, "I didn't really want this." FML
Today, I received the 'special' present my mother had sent me for my 21st birthday. I opened the box and saw that my mother had picked out, accessorized and shipped to me, in college, a doll. FML

That happens all the time, I've seen quite a few videos of this prank on Youtube. Usually the parent has the actual system hidden in the closet and pulls it out after the kid starts tearing up. I'm sorry, OP, that really stinks to get your hopes up like that and have them crushed that hard.

Deception hurts.

That's just mean. Sounds like the OPs mother is like mine - boys get the good, expensive gifts while girls get clothes - and believe me, they weren't nice clothes. Repay the favour - find an empty box for something she wants, and fill it with handkerchiefs.

Dude how old are you and your asking for your own PS3. Get a job or save some money so you can buy a PS3, XBOX360 and give your mom two boxes of cheap clothing op

After thinking about this for awhile, your mom couldve been lazy and just use the box as something to hold clothes in. Talk to her about what you wanted, and be a good lad. :)

Why the hell do you need a PS3 when your brother has one already?

You must be a stupid little bratty kid for your mom to want to do that to you.
