Today, in an attempt to get my son to stop playing Call of Duty, I threw his Xbox controller out the window. He was so desperate, he followed it. His bedroom is on the second floor. My son has 3 broken ribs, and no future. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Heated gaming moment
Today, I got a call from my son's friend's dad, demanding I pick him up immediately. When I arrived, he marched me into the house and pointed at an Xbox controller lodged in the wall, informing me I'd be receiving the bill for drywall repair. FML
Little shit
Today, I refused to play with my brother because he always breaks my stuff. Mom brought him into my room to force us to play together. He tripped and spilled coke on my Xbox, which smoked then died. Mom just backed out of the room with him slowly, like, "I see what you mean, we'll leave you alone now." I hate him so much. FML
Today, my 12-year-old son played QWOP on my laptop. Half an hour later, he virtually destroyed it in a fit of rage. FML
Devil child
Today, after my 14 year-old son brought home six Fs on his report card, we decided to take away all his video games and sell them. He screamed for hours, then went into the kitchen and started smashing glasses against his head, "until we brought back his games." FML
You tried
Today, in an effort to try and be closer to my girlfriend's son, I bought him an expensive Xbox game I know he desperately wanted so we could play it together. He was excited, until he realised that I that paid for it. He snapped the disc and threw the pieces in the bin. At least I tried. FML
So many questions…
Today, I finally got my son to go for a run. He broke his neck 4 months ago and has been playing video games the entire time. I was a competitive runner once and run everyday. He kicked my ass, 21 minutes for the first 5k and he sped up. He was back playing video games when I finally got home. I think I lost a lung on the trails. FML
Today, I'm sitting in the ER with my eight-year-old son. He broke his arm after jumping out through the second story window. He was too impatient to walk to the ice cream van pulling up outside. FML
Today, in an attempt to keep my valuables safe, I snatched my PlayStation 4 controller from the hands of my 4-year-old nephew. Not knowing that it was connected, I ultimately yanked the PlayStation and the HD Flatscreen flat on their faces. FML
Overreaction much?
Today, I caught my boyfriend cheating so I broke up with him. As revenge he threw my PS3 and XBox out of the window when I wasn't in our house. I got those consoles out of the spare money my three jobs had brought in - the same three jobs I had to get because he refused to get a job of his own. FML
Today, my girlfriend threw my X-box out the window, because I asked her how much she weighs. FML

...WOW. That's some serious addiction right there. That boy needs therapy. Seriously though OP, you don't need to go that far. You can RROD an XBox 360 just by looking at it the wrong way. I should know -- I own one. -_-

My dad doesn't know I have an xbox. He'd do the same thing hahaha. So I only play when he goes away on business trips which is regular enough anyway.

And it didn't occur to you to, oh I dunno, PARENT him. Lay down some rules regarding how long/often he can play and if he doesn't comply then take the controller AND the power cord for the Xbox away from him (keep it at work so he can't get at it). People don't know how to parent their damn kids these days. You are in charge ffs.

no, it's not just lightweight pro you need. You should learn a bit of parkour too, they learn this in the military and us army, marines, navy seals, etc. then, he could have at least costed you the hospital bill in style! This was soooooooo funny. I am a cod: waw, mw2, and black ops addict, my parents decided to put a lock on the ps3 for m rated games. but I found the password. lol:p!

Well, actually you can argue about that. Games are indeed, like they ALWAYS were, designed to be addicting however you're not supposed to actually get addicted but just return to that game many times (farmville). And many people are not addicted (even when believed so, learn the difference between obsession and something you like to do a lot). So there must be something wrong with a person to actually get thát addicted that he/she can't live without it. If you know your son is easy to get addicted (almost no to none social life, problems IRL, just lazy personality etc.) you make sure he doesn't get near something a virtual, easy to live in, world to escape in. YDI dude, stimulate your son and help him in different ways instead of getting angry. Treat it as a addiction. Games, no matter what kind, are fun but just like everything else it has a limit

my opinion your about a piss poor parent for letting it get that bad... put some damn tools in his hand and maybe he might make something of himself one day..... that is if u make him work
