Today, I went to the beach. After applying sunscreen liberally and doing my best to stay out of the sun, I came home with the worst sunburn I have ever had. I almost needed to go to the hospital. I am officially too pale to be allowed outside in summer. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Cooked
Today, I went on a camping trip with my friends, but forgot to bring sunscreen. I spent the entire day outside and ended up with a severe sunburn all over my body. The pain is unbearable and I can't even move without yelping as if I was slowly being cooked in an air fryer. FML
Today, I got sunburnt to a crisp on the first day of my holidays away. Only 5 more days to go now, spent inside, trying not to burn more. FML
Soft as snow
Today, I'm so pale that I managed to get a sunburn while sitting in a bus. FML
Today, I was badly sunburnt even after making it a point to apply a lot of sunscreen. My coworkers thought it amusing to slap me every chance they get. FML
Today, I went to an amusement park with my family. I was the only one who put on sunblock, and the only one who got a sunburn. FML
Today, after applying sunscreen to myself every two hours, I still got sunburned. Through my clothes. FML
Sunscreen season is open
Today, a day after I went to the beach and fell asleep in the sun without applying sunscreen, I woke up to find myself looking like a lobster, with the worst tan lines possible. On top of that, I had to go to a wedding, and when I walked in, my cousin asked if I had “taken a bath in some tomato soup.” FML
Today, I got the worst sunburn I've ever had in my life, and then discovered I'm allergic to aloe when I went to treat the burn with some gel. FML
Today, I was really badly sunburnt, so I put on some after-sun. The only type we have has glitter in it, and now I look like a sparkling tomato. FML
You what now?
Today, I was called a wimp for getting a sunburn. FML

You were probably just outside for TOO long. Everything has to be in moderation.

i hear ya. i'm a quarter Colombian, so half my family is naturally really tan and hardly ever burns. even when they do, it'll just be a little on the nose or something. i, however, have some of the palest skin i've ever seen on ANYBODY and always burn, no matter how much SPF 50,000 i use

I feel like you're exaggerating with "I almost needed to go to the hospital". If you did all you said you did there's no reason to go to the hospital.

Imagine how bad youd be without sunblock, and standing directly in the sun...

Plot twist; it wasn't sunscreen, it was tanning oil
