Today, I went to my boss with concerns that my manager is dumping her responsibilities on me. He agreed and told me to just do whatever she wants. She gets paid twice as much as me to talk on her cellphone all day. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Whiner!
Today, my boss yelled at me, telling me that I can't answer the phone anymore. Not because I do a bad job, but because a co-worker whined about it being her job. People call her and complain about how rude she is and then ask to talk to me. FML
Meritocracy
Today, after six months of doing the job of 2 people, because all my coworker does is sleep and sit down with her phone, I told my boss that I can't be doing my coworker's job and getting the same salary as her. My boss added just $10 to my salary and told me to let her carry on doing nothing, while I still do the work of 2 people. FML
Today, I shouldn't have told my boss that I was interested in management. She now throws any problem she doesn't want to solve at me and either gets mad when I can't work it out or takes credit when I do. FML
Slackers
Today, my boss told me that people from work have been complaining about me. Apparently, I'm not doing part of their jobs for them, and the other manager sometimes does. FML
Money for whining
Today, I realized I get paid to hear my boss complain and talk crap. FML
Today, my boss pulled me aside to chastise me for being "off task" because I was chatting with a co-worker while working on a project. She then spent a half hour chatting with the same person about what daycare she should go to for her new baby. FML
Today, I got in trouble with my boss for doing what she wanted me to do. I guess she didn't think I would do it, so she did it herself. FML
Control
Today, my boss continued to orchestrate behind the scenes with my colleagues to make me look bad for her lack of organization. Then she showed up 10 minutes late to a meeting, shared that she needed a vacation, and realized that she needed to micromanage less. I've been asking her to make that change for months. FML
Supervision
Today, I was told by my manager to make sure the supervisor on shift does his job. Last month I was told I couldn't be a supervisor. Apparently I can supervise someone who earns more than I do though. FML
Get on with it, or not
Today, my job as a supervisor has become increasingly ridiculous because one employee doesn't want to do the tasks I give her. My supervisor tells me to keep working with her and giving her work. When she goes directly to him, he tells her she doesn't have to do them. FML

May have to go to HR for this one cause your boss is useless. Or find another job so you're not working for tools

An FML that doesn't mention expired food, feces, or detailed injuries but still makes me sick to my stomach! Bravo, FML! Bravo!

Great boss you got there! Hopefully, the boss will eventually see sense and get rid of your idiot of a manager

Your boss agrees with you, but wants you to continue doing it anyways.......um ok. I think it may be time to find a new place of employment OP if that doesn't change soon.

Any chance the boss is gathering evidence to fire the manager? If that IS the what's happening, and OP has already proved able to do the work, perhaps a promotion is on the way. In OP's shoes, if I wanted the manager's job I'd decide how long to keep at it just in case, then go to HR if nothing had changed by then.

Sounds to me like she might have gotten her position by being on his "good side".

Probably many positions.

Follow the chain of command. If your boss isn't doing anything about it, then go to the next level up. Or perhaps he knows something you don't. He could be gathering evidence to support letting her go, so you could just let it play out and see what happens.

My supervisor does the same exact thing! When she isn't talking on the phone, she's taking selfies. And always telling me to do things she should be doing. When I went to higher up management they told me they didn't believe me. OP Definitely talk to someone higher up than the manager you talked to, because thats not right at all.

Begin the down voting... It's the manager's job to delegate.

Isn't the manager the boss?

The manager is a boss in avway, but still has a boss herself.
