Today, I was was leaving the library when I noticed an elderly woman being mugged. I was about to leave on my bike, but promptly went to help her. After I managed to scare off the mugger, I helped her to her car. As I was heading back to my bike, I notice the mugger riding off on it. FML

That so sucks. I hate it when nice people have bad things happen to them. Let's hope you get a good break soon for your deed. :)

and you didn't call the police why? anyway that mugger definitely knew what he was doing, one opportunity is stopped...take another one, which unfortunately was your bike.

Where does it say he didn't call the police you fool?

what do you mean by "scared him off"? If you're coming at him from the side, a quick forceful kick to the side of the knee will immobilize him and put him in excruciating pain (not to mention make you look like a total badass). It doesn't take a strong person, just good aim. Then, see how well he does in prison with a wheelchair.

And see how fast he sues you and gets EVERYTHING you own. If he had a good enough lawyer he may not even go to jail.

IRONY - However, file a police report for the stolen bike. You may be pleasantly surprised.

Hmm... You warded off a bad guy from an old lady and just turned your back on him without calling police or getting somebody else to? If only this site had a "Possibly Fake" option.

or an "I don't believe this" option would also be appropriate
