Today, I was told at my babysitting job that I can't bring my toddler with me. My employer is my best friend. Now I have to find a babysitter for my kid if I want to babysit hers. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had to quit my job. Why? Because I don't have a babysitter anymore. All I did was tell them I didn't want them mocking my baby when he cries. FML
Today, one of my best friends went into labor 14 days early. I'd told my boss previously about this and that I need to be there for my friend as she doesn't really have any family. My boss will not let me leave work to be there. Why? I didn't give enough notice. FML
Stiffed
Today, I called my usual babysitter, one of the few people who can handle my difficult kids, to ask her to watch them for a night next week. She refused. It turns out my wife has been repeatedly underpaying her and she's fed up with it. So long date nights, I guess. FML
Tedious
Today, I got fired from a great babysitting job because the little girl said I was boring. FML
Profane
Today, I was rudely stopped in the park by a woman screaming at me for being a slut for having a baby so young. She got so worked up that she started swearing. Not only was I just babysitting for a friend, I am unable to get the toddler to stop swearing. FML
Today, my babysitter told me to find a replacement, so I tried to bribe her into staying by offering her a raise. She told me that the money would be better spent on an exorcist. FML
Gutted
Today, I was fired from the babysitting job I've had for 2 years. I thought maybe the mother had found out that I sometimes let her kids stay up late and have extra sweets. The real reason, as she told me, was that she didn't want her kids loving anyone more than they love her. FML
Today, my best friend was fired from the place we both work at because she's a bad employee. After they fired her she said, "If I go, I'm taking my best friend with me." So they fired me too. I actually liked that job. FML
Empathy
Today, my best friend rang me to complain about having to pay childcare fees when she's still working from home. She doesn't understand why I couldn't sympathize with what she was going through. Clearly she forgot I'm a childcare worker who would like to be paid for the work I do. FML
Today, a woman got out of a car to scream at me as I was walking with the kids I babysit, demanding to know where I was taking her children. Apparently the woman who pays me is also a babysitter, who I have been "covering" for on her party nights. The mother doesn't believe I didn't know this. FML

Maybe your best friend can watch your child while your watching her kid.

What a horrible friend. I'd just find a new job so you can babysit both yours and their kid (: Best of luck.

Under context it sounds like you were going to her place to watch her child, if that's the case the I'd personally tell her to go f*** herself. Your essentially doing her a favor, most people don't charge a friend as much to watch their kid as an unknown babysitter would plus your someone who already has rapport and trust with her. If I was helping someone out and babysitting for them, and was told I can't bring my own with me, they would be looking for new help and told to never request something from me again and I hand out favors like tic tacs.

If it were reversed, and she babysat your child at her home, could you tell her she wasn't allowed to watch her child at the same time? That's rediculous! Tell her if it's really worth finding a new babysitter over you'll just find a new job.

Gotta say though its a shitty thing, i cant really blame your friend. Its a job at the end of the day and who brings their kid to their work place on the norm. Yes its your friend but when it comes to business that level of professionalism must be maintained otherwise it can all go really bad really fast. that being said, if you are paying the same rate or near said rate you are being paid to your own babysitter, thats a bad time investment, find another job.

don't babysit for her then, if your toddler isn't welcome as your doing your job, find someone who will accept you and your toddler ;) best of luck

I've seen a similar situation happen before. The person in question let their kid run around wild and break the person's stuff, the kid was mean to the babysat kid. It wasn't the kind of situation any good parent would want their kids in. Maybe it's the same here?
