Today, I was talking with my friend-turned boyfriend and cutely told him that I could no longer remember all the things that he used to do that bothered me. He told me he could remember every one of mine and listed them all off for me. FML

Today, my grandfather kept on asking me questions about my girlfriend, and was obviously proud of the things he remembered about her. The only thing he couldn't remember is that we broke up. I had to talk with him about our "great relationship" for over an hour. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend about something that had happened “after you came to our school." He told me he'd gone to our school for every grade. I'd just never noticed him. FML
Today, my own boyfriend admitted that he can't name one single thing he likes about me without naming something "physical." FML
Today, I was telling my friend about how my boyfriend never does anything nice for me. Confused, she replied, "That's odd, he's always doing nice things for me." FML
Today, my boyfriend found some noise-canceling headphones that he forgot he had. Once he adjusted them and put them on, he sat down and asked me to tell him about my day. FML
Today, I explained to my husband how much it bothers me when he constantly talks about one of his coworkers. He listened closely, never interrupted me, and seemed genuinely sorry afterwards. While he was consoling me and telling me that he'll stop, he called me by her name… three different times. FML
Today, I found a notebook labeled "IMPORTANT INFO" in my boyfriend's nightstand. Looking in, I saw he'd written down a bunch of information about me, like my birthday and things I like. When I asked, he said, "I'm forgetful and didn't want to accidentally be a dick." FML
Today, even my 11-year-old noticed how much my boyfriend constantly reminisces about his ex-girlfriend. FML
Today, my boyfriend and I were having a conversation about the lack of communication in our relationship. I told him that sometimes I feel like he doesn't really care about me at all. If he did, he would listen more. His response? "I know your name, don't I?" FML
Today, I've always needed to share stories about things that made me upset to my boyfriend, and I thought he was my safe place to do so. I've always talked to him, and so has he. If he got upset, he'd tell me what's bothering him. Now he says he doesn't like it because I always talk to him about it. Now I have no one. FML

How does she deserve this? She was just trying to be nice. Honesty is often overrated, and if we knew everything our partners think of us, we'd be gravely disappointed, as well as they'd be if they knew everything we think about them. So this guy is not honest- he's just arrogant enough to humiliate his girlfriend. Idiotic, if you ask me.

Agreed with 40. It was a nice sentiment, OP, but seriously, don't bs your lover. You'll just have more problems, and it'll most likely hurt their feelings when you get into an argument and say things like "WELL I HAVE ALWAYS HATED YOUR ******* MOLE" because they thought you had no problem with it, maybe even liked it. (Granted, that's a rather simple example, just replace it with something that would be truly bothering and you'll see what I mean better; I, at the moment, can't think well) On the bright side, now you know about the things that bother him and can maybe fix them.

Oh boo hoo. If you do things that bother people, expect them to be bothered. Don't expect compliments just because you bullshit around. This was a lose-lose situation for him. He could either be honest, and you would complain, or he could lie, and you would probably still complain.
