Today, I spent hours and hours trying to figure out why the wireless internet on my laptop wasn't working, but everything I tried completely failed. At the end of the day, my older brother came home, and fixed the problem in under 10 seconds by turning the wireless internet switch on. FML

ummmm really if you know enough about computers to spend "hours and hours" trying to figure out why the wireless internet isn't working then you should know enough to check if it's on or off. Isn't that fairly easy to discover? I mean, I have a MacBook and it shows right at the top of the screen if my wireless is on or off. I'm sorry but this has to be a YDI for a total "here's your sign" moment

Well, windows is pretty unclear and if the guy was used to using a desktop where there's no switch he could be pretty confused. I remember it took me a while to figure out about the wireless switch in the first laptop I had with one.

umm...u fAIL miserably

Haha I've done that before too. :P

The same thing happened to me. XD I spent about fifteen minutes trying to turn the darn thing on, and my brother only had to do two simple clicks.

Simmilar scenario happened to me also, not noticeing the laptop wireless has switched off while brushing against clothing etc. Took only minutes to realise the wireless LED is not responsing in an off state, and no signal was coming through making it only a few possible indications. The laptop wireless switch would be the first to checkup as it is the closest control to activate/deactivate the connection. Then along comes the router and ISP etc but nethertheless, atleast it wasnt more technical like hardware malfunction. Anyways YDI for not checking up on the basic's of wireless networking.

Dude this fml made me lose faith in humanity. How could you not know. you make me want to cry.

Haha yeah, I've been there :P... You still deserve to feel stupid though ;)
