Maybe she doesn't stay in touch with her husbands family. Who the hell are you to judge her? It was a mistake. Shit happens.

that umbrella is held at the wrong angle to be of any use in rain protection I love the style of animation though.

Finally a picture that doesn't take on any shitty artistic freedom, just makes a new joke completely out of the old one.

I like this new illustration, and thank God that old preview is finally off the homepage. And lol at the gravestone from like 400 years ago, right next to the uncle's.

I wouldn't stress out, OP. It happens to a lot of people, because you pull out the Christmas Card address book, and sometimes you've forgotten to make notes about people passing on, having kids, or getting divorced. If he just died this past year, she probably got quite a few cards like that. What you can do is recognize that during and after the holidays, she's going to be getting a lot of those reminders and what she could *really* use is a simple check-in call to see how she's doing. The first year or two after losing a loved one are really hard, because once the first rush of everyone wanting to be supportive ends, you can feel really alone and abandoned. If you feel guilty, send her a more personal letter asking how she is and telling her what's going on with you and her nephew. I can't guarantee that it'll make her day, but I bet she'll be glad to receive it.
