Today, I finished a 6-part project. It took me 7 hours of straight work because my partner decided I should do it alone. I then learned that the reason my partner did not help me was because the teacher e-mailed the leader of every group, saying the project was cancelled. FML

Today, I finished a huge project for work. It took 3+ days and I was very proud of it. Except when I submitted it to my boss, he said that he'd already asked another person to do it. He used that person's project, not mine. FML
Today, I found out that the huge project I've been working on for the past week is actually a group project. Everyone in my group knew. They were just letting me do the entire thing by myself because I'm "smart". FML
Today, one of my colleagues was asked to rewrite an entire project, which I wrote last week. I'd spent more than 4 days writing it. FML
Today, I spent most of the day doing a project for school. When I finished, I got a call from my project partner. She couldn't finish her part because her internet didn't work. When I finally finished everything, I went on Facebook. She was on Facebook too. FML
Today, at school, everybody wanted to be my partner for a project. This surprised me because nobody ever wants to be with me. Turns out when I was absent, my teacher promised that whoever was my partner would get extra points on the project. FML
Today, I had a huge amount of work to get through. Two colleagues offered to help, because one had nothing else to do, and the other couldn't work until I was done. My boss got really pissed at me for "making" them do my job and wasting their time. FML
Today, we were all put in groups to make a presentation together. And by "together" I mean I pulled an all nighter to finish it by myself. My group criticized my work. FML
Today, after working like a caffeine-fuelled thunderstorm for 9 hours straight on an art project, my 2 friends informed me that it was due next week. I slept for 10 hours, and then went to my class without my project, thinking I lucked out in the long run. Clearly not, as it was due today. FML
Today, my class had a group project. The teacher allowed people to opt to do it alone. I, an introvert with crippling social anxiety, was the only one to do it alone. I still finished before everyone else, with an A. The other students called me a "freak" and many other names, simply because I work better alone. FML
Today, I had to do a presentation. No one else in my group showed up, so I had to do it alone. I was given a failing grade for presenting by myself, and therefore not being a "team player". FML

Emailed the leader of every group, suggesting OP was not the leader and that his friend was. Op your friend sucks, but just think of a good way to get him back.

It sucks but OP kind of deserved it for doing all the work theirself in a group project. Should have contacted the teacher once your partner made you do all the work, then they probably would have found out it was cancelled. It still sucks though because the group leader is a complete dick.

It's not the leaders job to take initiative for everyone in their group, everyone needs to step up and communicate in a group project

Actually it is the leaders job to make sure the whole group is on the same page, hence they're the leader. Yes it goes way another if everyone works on communication, but none of us know if OP just didn't try to communicate, or if their partner was just a dick and didn't say anything on purpose.

I don't understand why you dont just bring it in and just say that your partner didn't tell you it was cancelled and you spent alot of time on it and see if you can still hand it in.

Turn it in to the teacher and explain what happened. Your partner failed at group leader in not communicating while you were willing to step in and do all the work yourself. The teacher needs to know that.
