Today, I received in the mail a hockey puck autographed by recent hall of fame addition Steve Yzerman. When asked, I had to explain to my 4 year old brother that someone famous had written his name on it. Later, I discovered that my brother decided it needed his name on it too. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Puck my life
Today, I went to a hockey game. While warm-ups were happening, my favourite player pointed at me and tossed me a puck. It bounced off my hand into another girl's, who was a fan of the other team. She refused to give it back, then walked away and said, "I can't wait to sell this on eBay." FML
Today, my little brother learned to write his name. How did he tell the family? By writing it in permanent marker all over my 100 year old piano. FML
Today, my dad gave me a football signed by my favourite football player. It would've been great, except that I saw my dad sign it in front of me. The worst part is that he denies doing it. FML
Today, my father came back from a business trip in Canada. He handed me an "I Love Canada" pen. He brought back an Xbox 360 for my younger brother. FML
#priceless
Today, I was at the Kings Avalanche game in Denver. Anže Kopitar scored a hat trick and people threw hats in. Someone ripped my own hat off my head and tossed it on the ice. It was a gift from my dead grandparents with my name stitched onto it. I’ve had it for 15 years. FML
Today, I went down to my grandparents' house to spend some time with them. I was in the guest room when I noticed a box in the corner of the closet labelled "Crap". I opened up the box to see my Dad's John Elway Autographed Football in it. I got it for him for Christmas, it cost me $600. FML
Score!
Today, my boyfriend was buying a new hockey stick; to test it out he started hitting a ball around the aisle and decided to shoot it back into its bin. Instead the ball hit me dead in the mouth, giving me a fat lip. Instead of consoling me, my boyfriend yelled "GOAL!" FML
Almost famous
Today, someone asked for my autograph at the mall. Flattered, I signed their notebook and even posed for a selfie. Later I found out they'd thought I was some weird nerdy guy from TikTok. I’m not on TikTok. FML
Today, while reading over my sent application email to a job I have been trying to get, I found out my brother had put "Heil Hitler!" as my signature. FML
Today, I woke up to see my four year-old brother with a sharpie, trying to play “Connect the Dots” with my acne. FML

In sharpie (or other pen/permanent marker)? Get some rubbing alcohol (or 99% denatured ethanol, less common but I know that works from lab... should work with rubbing alcohol too though) and very carefully (with a q-tip for preference) run it along the marks your brother made... And the ink will dissolve and absorb into the q-tip, should pretty much do it! Hopefully your bother didn't cross any of the lines of the actual signature, or at least used the same color marker because if they overlap and aren't the same it would require a bit more skill to fix....

Tell him that he's not famous and he's too stupid to ever become famous. Lowers his self esteem in life. It works. I know from experience. :(

if he was planning on selling it then ya it sucks. but if not, if he was planning on keeping it, it IS cute. not everything is about the money

Even if he was going to keep it it still sucks, money or not. It's just a normal old puck when that happens.

Ok, what's with the "go take a lap"? This is the 3rd time I've encountered this comment in the past 5 minutes, and I'm curious as to why it is appropriate for all these situations. Is it your catch phrase? If so, what does it mean? It perplexes me.

"take a lap" means shake it off, forget about it.

Yeah, and people use it like "proceeded" here. Seriously, is this website full of people, or just very modern sheep?
