Today, when I checked on my last payroll, I realized that I pay more in taxes than I do in house bills. FML
Today, I realized that I spend more money on gas to go to my job than what I get paid. FML
Today, I found out that I was denied for work study eligibility by my college. I went to my financial advisor to ask why. It wasn't my grades or attendance. Apparently my father makes too much money for me to get a job at the school. My dad was fired 3 months ago and has been out of work since. FML
Today, my boss bragged to a coworker, in front of me, about how much money he saved on a project because he majorly underpays me. My boss is my dad. FML
Today, after years of waiting, my mom and I finally received a check from Child Support Services. Excited, I opened it up to find a check from my dad, written out for 45 cents. Which pays for maybe half a loaf of bread. FML
Today, my father's company shut down his branch, leaving him without a job. This is followed by a letter from my school's financial aid office, saying I'm not getting a penny because my family's income level is too high. FML
Today, I get to stand in the unemployment line for the second time in a year because my company can't pay me. My parents own the company. FML
Today, I excitedly went to check this week's paycheck, only to see that I only received $9.00. This isn't a mistake, this is really what I make. FML
Today, nearly Christmas, my dad got mad because I don't have enough money for holiday festivities. I can't afford things because I haven't gotten my paycheck yet. I work for my dad. FML
Today, I found out I'm getting a pay cut, a week after I told my boss I need a raise or second job just to afford bills. I made the company 10k last week. FML

Maybe I should get unemployment checks myself since I haven't been able to find a job since November...It would be nice to have money again. It really sucks that he's making more sitting on his ass than you do actually working. (Assuming that's what he does)

@17 Employees do not pay into unemployment insurance. Only your employer pays into unemployment insurance via their state and federal payroll taxes.

To a certain extent you should try to get a better job, but it's ridiculous how the government pays unemployment like that. That and welfare are just letting lazy people sit there asses at home and get paid. We have to revise that part of the government because in this country anyone can make a great living and have an amazing life it just depends on how much you want it.
