Today, I found out that my shower area is in direct view from my neighbours' balcony. I realised this when I caught my neighbour and his wife watching me while I was getting dressed. I've been living here for 7 years. FML

Today, my new neighbours moved in. I had always thought my bedroom wall was soundproof, because my old neighbours never complained about my loud night terrors. Turns out they were just stone deaf. The new ones can hear everything. FML

Today, my train was delayed, so I sprinted across the station to catch another one. I made it onto the train just before the doors closed. Then I looked around and realized I had boarded the exact same train I had just gotten off. FML

You’ll get used to it. I lived near a busy hospital, and after awhile I didn’t hear the sirens anymore

I lived across the street from a busy rail line, freight trains going 50+ mph every few minutes for 10 years. I had more trouble sleeping after I moved to the other end of town from it.

I grew up 2 miles from a major metropolitan airport, directly under a flight path. I now live 30 feet from a 4 lane freeway and 2 blocks from a train track. You WILL get used to it.
