Today, I made a delicious casserole for dinner. Just as I was about to serve it, a bowl fell from the cupboard above, exploded on the counter and made it rain tiny, sharp glass shards on my food. I can't pick them all out. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Late fee
Today, I woke up earlier to food prep for lunch later. Just as I was preparing the ingredients, I dropped a thick glass saucer on the kitchen counter and it shattered like a hail storm - everywhere in the kitchen. I ended up spending more time cleaning it out and obviously logged in to work later than usual. FML
Bon appétit, boys
Today, I made dinner for myself after a long day full of annoying family drama. I had the pan sizzling away when I went to grab some herbs from the fridge. As I turned around, I tripped on the rug, sending the entire frying pan of food flying into the air. It landed directly in front of my never-endingly hungry dogs, so I watched as my ruined dinner disappeared. FML
Cool moves
Today, I tried to open my water bottle, which is like trying to open a pickle jar, and after several seconds, it exploded all over my desk and clothes. Then, when I was going to get paper towels and a change of clothes, I slipped on the puddle and hit my head on my desk as I came crashing down. FML
The Blob
Today, I cracked an egg which turned out to have an extremely thin shell, so at first contact with the bowl, it came apart in my hand and the contents glooped right through my fingers, all the way down the kitchen cabinet, into a half-open drawer, as well as onto the floor and underneath the cabinet. FML
Not my day, is it?
Today, I was washing the dishes when I gave myself a nasty gash on my leg from the open dishwasher door. After five minutes of cleaning up the blood and wrapping it up, I came back to finish the job only to drop a plate and send broken shards into my foot. FML
Heart of Glass
Today, I was sitting on a stool by the stove while my dad was making stir-fry. The glass lid he had covering the skillet overheated and exploded. As huge shards of broken glass rained down on his only daughter's head, my dad's only concern was whether or not he would have to throw his food away. FML
Slasher
Today, I made some burritos when a photo frame fell and smashed over my pan. I'm pretty broke so I thought I got all the glass out of the meat and ate some. I reheated the meat for dinner too and well, I found the glass that time... FML
Getting a head start on the Halloween look
Today, while washing dishes for my friend, I managed to break an unbreakable glass and slice my hand open on it. FML
Hangry boi
Today, I had a massive craving for peanut butter and jelly. While making a sandwich, the jar slipped from my hands, bounced off the counter, and exploded all over my kitchen. Now I have peanut butter and jelly in places I didn't even know existed. FML
Today, after a shitty day, I went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat. When I grabbed the salt container, the bottom lid came off and the salt went everywhere. FML

Natural selection? Extra protein? Toughening your mouth? Really, there are only benefits here

BlueBaronBitch 22
:o 32 what are you saying, all food is good! Er, well not all.. MOST food is good
ohkitty 21
shame that your food has to go to waste op, but at least you saw it happen so no one will risk cutting themselves on glass shards

I think they would have been able to notice it even if they didn't experience it personally.
MonstreBelle 29
Throwing it away is not only a waste of delicious food, it's also a waste of the perfect opportunity to play a nice, fun game of Ragout Roulette
militarybrat 21
6 no... Especially if its small shards.
tantanpanda 26
I'm not sure how big the casserole is, but glass shards don't just diffuse into the casserole. Can't you just skin the casserole to have an un-glassy dinner?

YOLO right?? But fr that sucks OP

I had something like that happen to me, I made a casserole and when I took it out of the oven and sat it on the stove the Pyrex dish it was in exploded and totally destroyed supper :(
kirkaygri 18
Common. Pyrex has a flaw in their glass that if it has been cooled down too quickly, the next time it reaches a high temp and is brought out of the oven, it will explode. And they explode into tiny little slivers. It sucks, and it's something Pyrex has tried to hide. I've seen a few injuries from it. I only use Anchor Hocking when I buy vintage glassware now. You never know the history of the piece and if it was properly cared for.

People...it's a joke...
mazor 22
Well joke be that as it may, but neither funny nor accurate or logical.

Three extra protein because the glass cuts your insides, putting blood in your digestive track that contains proteins.

59, it wouldn't be a very good joke if it was accurate and logical. That's why it's a joke. And I thought it was hilarious
